Missy
"So, let me get this straight? Y'all cupcake on the phone with each other all night talking about God knows what, he puts this big ass smile on your face regularly, and he openly admitted his feelings for you. Yet, you're hesitant to go on a date with him? Yeah, you've lost your mind boo." Ashley said with a chuckle.
"We are going out, it's just not a date," I clarified what the outing really was to her. Ash's brows rose in confusion.
"Explain..."
"You're coming with us."
Ashley's face tensed up and she shook her head. "Nope, absolutely not. I will not be a babysitter nor will I act as a third wheel."
"C'mon Ash. You won't be a third wheel because it's not a date and, plus, he invited Ben to keep you company." I assured her with a small grin, knowing that would be the prominent thing to convince her.
"Missy, even if the two of us come with y'all it's still technically a date. Ever heard of a double date?" she questioned sarcastically and I rolled my eyes.
"Whatever. You coming or what?" I asked with a sigh.
"I guess, but promise me something."
"Name it," I told her.
"Give Don a legit chance to prove he's worthy. I know you like to be stubborn as fuck when it comes to guys, but he's a good one."
"Okay," I said.
Ashley gave me an unsure smile and playfully rolled her eyes. "When is this gathering anyway?" she asked me.
"Tonight at 8."
Ash peeked down at her watch and looked back up at me with an attitude. I already knew that she was upset. "Bitch, that's in two hours and I haven't even started to get cute yet. I should slap you."
"With what hand?" I laughed obnoxiously.
"Mhm, you lucky that I love you." Ashley got up from my bed and grabbed her bag from floor. "And where are we going anyway? I need to know how short of a dress that I can get away with wearing."
"Ooooh, slut puppy," I joked.
Ash threw one of the pillows at my head. "Shut up!"
"Anyway, we're going to Galaxy. For your non-skating ass sake, I'd suggest you wear something long." Ashley stuck up the bird and cracked a smile.
"Girl, bye!" Ash waved to me before walking out of my room. I stood up and went to my suitcase to find something to wear. Usually, I wasn't nervous at all about hanging with Donovan, but tonight felt different.
"Oooh, you showing skin I see." Ashley said with a grin from the back seat when I got in the car. "Who you got cute for?" I playfully rolled my eyes at her and turned back to the front to see Don's eyes settled on me.
"What?" I questioned him with my mouth twisted up with suspicion.
"Bruh, drive already. You can stare at Missy when we get there fool." Bennett clowned him with a grin before putting his arm around Ashley.
"Nigga, be patient and focus on Ash. You ain't got nowhere else to be anyway. Ol' bean head ass," Don barked back and started the car so that we could be on our way to the skating rink.
"Hey, you okay? You were quiet the whole ride here..." Don questioned me when we got inside of Galaxy.
"Yeah, I'm good," I assured him as I looked around the building. It was crowded as usual.
