The Master was different from how I'd expected. He was around twenty-something and was fairly built. He had broad shoulders, which were lined all the way down to his fingertips with tattoos. A cigarette was lit in the corner of his mouth and his dark eyes looked me over. I could tell he was pleased with my appearance.

He stood up, as I walked into the room, "Welcome Bree. I'm what they call The Master, but you can call me Aidan." It wasn't a suggestion. He was stating that I WILL call him that. "Take a seat," he instructed.

I smirked, "I think I'll stand."

He tightened his sharp jaw, "But I told you to sit. It is not appealing for a woman to not be courteous to her host."

"Well that's shame. I never got to learn those needed 'woman-like' gestures since you had me packed up behind a block of ice."

He glanced at me with so much hatred. I blocked myself to not be able to feel his emotion. I needed to focus. Suddenly, a force shoved me back into the chair. What? The force was heavy, suffocating even. My lungs struggled to suck in a breath as my throat closed in on itself. Aidan walked towards me and the force became thicker.

"You're an Elemental?" I croaked. My voice burned from whatever his power was.

"Not just any Elemental," he smiled. "I'm royalty too. Me and you are the rare case of two royals at once."

"Why are you keeping us locked up here?" I hissed. My body was on fire and I had no idea what he was doing to me.

"There's a thing called...I'm the president." Excuse me? Ah, so it wasn't a Elemental who was on the doctor's side. It was an Elemental leading them. The pressure increased on my wrist so I couldn't swing at him. "See, I'm not all Elemental or Human at all. I'm part Elemental, and part chemicals of my own creation." He injected himself with chemicals to make him more powerful? Why would one human...or (Elemental I should say) need to be so powerful? "So what's your power dear? One Elemental royal to another."

I shut my jaw. He would't be getting anything. His power forced the words out of my mouth. How is he doing this?

"Lightning, tornado, telekinesis, rain, wind, hurricane, power over other Elementals, and emotion transfer." I bit my tongue in anger. I can't believe I'd just spilled my guts to him. Alright. Enough of this. It's time to level the playing field. I shoved my power at him. He stumbled backwards and his power lightened up on me. I flung myself out the seat and towards him. He pushed me back again, but I met him with the same intensity. "What is your power?" I asked between gritted teeth. I shoved my power down his throat until he answered me.

"Emotion transfer, torture, illness, acid, illusions, power over Elementals." Those are awful. Has he tested those awful things on other people? My anger towards him grew. Aidan smirked at my uncomfortableness. "You see, me and you are yin and yang. We balance each other out. I need to rule, and you won't let me-"

"Damn right," I interrupted.

"But unfortunately, as long as you're alive I can't truly have control over ALL Elementals."

"Then why have you bothered?" I hissed. "Why not just kill me instead of freezing me?"

Aidan sighed and ran his hands through his light beard. "Because if there was a chance you'd change your powers over to the dark and rule beside me..."

I laughed aloud, "I will never rule beside you. Unlike you, I care about human beings. Elementals. I don't want to control anyone. I will leave here, with the other Elementals."

"Good luck with that," he rolled his eyes. I shoved all my power at him once again and he stumbled backwards. Yeah, that's right. Aidan shoved every ounce of his at me. I smashed against the back of the wall and I accidentally let myself feel his emotion in that second. So much hatred, lust, darkness. It wasn't the kind of beautiful darkness I'd felt from Jacob. No. This darkness was sinister and burned. I wanted them out. I built up my defenses and forced him out.

I shifted uncomfortably in my dress, "I think we're done here."

"For tonight, yes my dear. But you and I, our destinies are bound."
