Dragon. Adian's dark power was a dragon. It wasn't an ordinary one either. I was barely the size of one claw. He was a ginormous black dragon with spikes all across the head, legs, arms, and torso. Pieces of ceiling fell down as he broke through the roof. His beat red eyes stared down at me, filled with hatred. This can't be good. The mutations cowered in the sight of their leader. I gulped and stared up at the monster I'd pissed off. Adian let out a fearsome roar. The ground shook and my head throbbed with the intensity. Way to go. I've done it now. The beast took a big whiff of air and blew a large gust of fire towards me. I screamed and put up my hands. A wall of water formed in front of me and blocked the scorching hot heat coming at me. The fire immediately turned to smoke as it hit the water. I let the water wall fall and began to run. No matter how much power I thought I had, there was no way I could fight that thing.

My heart thudded in my ears as my feet hit the rock below. I just might die down here. The ground erupted in earthquakes as Adian's big dragon body chased after me. A large spiked tail swung around in front of me. Duck. I ducked below. A gust of wind jetted past me as he barely missed my head. I took off running again. I didn't dare look back. Looking forward was the only way I'm getting the heck out of here. I cannot die down here. I've got to get out. I stopped in my tracks as I bumped into Adian's ex wife. She grabbed my wrist and tugged me to the left. I didn't have any time to argue. I followed her sprint down in a hill, sliding down its steep incline. We landed into a large mucky lake. She tugged me through the water, each step harder to pull my foot out than the last. We'd climbed out to the other side just as Aidan's dragon had made it to the water.

"Use the lighting!" she shouted at me over the thunderous sound of the dragon's rawr.

"What?"

"Just do it!"

I focused on the thick lake as lighting bolts showered from the sky. The bolts landed in the water just as the dragon had made it halfway through. The lighting licked up the sides of Aidan and up towards the dragon's muzzle. It let out a large wail that shook the building around us.

Adian slowly shifted back into being human. His bones crackled and the wings glued themselves back under his skin. His eyes turned back to their natural dark brown color and his claws turned to hands. When he was fully man, he curled up into a ball. Butt naked. I instantly felt revolted. I carefully moved back into the water and dragged his naked body from the water and onto the soiled ground. Why I was being so kind was beyond me. I ripped off the bottom half of my dress and attempted to cover his bare body. More for my sake than his. Deep wounds were dug into his flesh. His skin bubbled over and spewed blood outward.

"Why are you helping me?" his voice was hoarse and he scrambled away from the clothing I was trying to give him. I sighed and attempted again to cover him.

"You may be my enemy but I prefer a fair fight. Beating you while you're down does nothing for me." It was true. I'd love to kick his ribs in right here, right now. Though it wasn't a fair fight. I'd rather kill him myself when he's at full strength. Adian accepted the bottom of my dress and he covered himself. Thank goodness. I couldn't keep staring at that for much longer. With much more anger in my voice I yelled, "I will not help you up, or take you to the house. You can hobble your damn self there." He smirked and laughed lightly.

"Now you sound like you." Why'd I help him? I was far too nice to a man who did not deserve it. Actually....I bent down and grabbed The Master's hand. I crushed his fingers' bones beneath my grasp. He screamed out in pain and looked at me with hatred. "What are you doing?" He yanked his broken hand back and cursed.

"Don't you ever chain me to a freaking floor. I am not your pet. I expect you will take me back to the lab tomorrow."

"In your dreams," Adian hissed.

"Then I'll just torture you more. These wounds are new," I smirked. He tightened his jaw and stared at me with disgust.

"Fine. You will be locked up in a lab. Not too different from down here. Happy?"

I shrugged, "Happy as I can be until I escape at least."

"You're not going to escape."

I laughed. "Watch me."
