Number 1 on her list is to try alcohol. Strange, I could have sworn she has tried it before. I guess when I think about it, I shouldn't be so surprised. She never has been one to go to parties like the other girls. I guess that's one of the reasons I love her so much. She is just so damn beautiful. Dammit Markus stop it. She doesn't love you that way. I shake my head and continue walking down the road to the liquor store. I don't have a fake ID so I have no idea if I am going to be able to even get any. My uncle is the store clerk though so maybe I can convince him to let me buy one bottle if I tell him the circumstances.

The bells on the door chime as I walk in. The smell of alcohol fills my nostrils and I get a little light headed. I guess it's pretty pathetic that the smell of alcohol can get me tipsy. I smile at myself. I grab a six pack of Corona and walk up to the checker. Thank god, my uncle is the checker today.

He recognizes me immediately and gives me a strange look.

"Markus! My boy what are you doing here? It's not legal for you to buy this stuff!"

I have a moment of doubt but my worries recede whenever he speaks again.

"But I suppose I can make an exception for my favorite nephew. After all, you don't ever come in here so I am guessing you don't drink very often?"

I shake my head and smile. I hand him my money and thank him as I walk out the door. He tells me to keep in touch and I nod my head. The bells chime again and I am back on the sidewalk.

I hope she is home. Much less, I hope she isn't still upset with me. I screwed up at school yesterday and I know it. She always forgives me though. My doubts drift away when she sees me walking up her driveway and runs outside. She almost knocks me to the ground with her hug. She smells like roses and vanilla. I smile at her as she finally lets go.

"I'm so sorry about yesterday. I shouldn't have ignored you like that."

She giggles and wraps her arms around my neck. "I forgive you! You were just having a bad day. It happens to everyone."

I heave a sigh of relief and ruffle her hair up. She rolls her eyes at me.

"Dammit Markus you know I hate that!" She playfully punches me on the arm and starts walking back up her front steps. She waves for me to come along.

We walk up to her room and shut the door. She sits on her bed and begins to talk. "I have so much to tell you! I missed you so freaking much. You have no idea how bad I wished you were with me." Her eyes sparkle and she smiles at me. Her smile is so beautiful. Her dimples show up on the sides of her mouth and I reach over and poke them. She giggles and looks at the bag. She raises her eyebrow, her way of silently asking what's inside.

"I wanted to have something special since its your first day back. I bought something for us."

I reach in and pull out the six pack and her eyes go wide with shock.

"Now before you say anything, I just wanted to have one and you have one. We have never had beer and I figured it would be a cool experience for the both of us." I look at her with hope.

She smiles and hugs my neck. She grabs a bottle and pops the top off as I do the same.

"Cheers?" she asks.

I smirk and raise my bottle to hers. "Cheers", I say and laugh.

We both raise the bottles to our mouths and take a drink. The liquid burns down my throat and Rikki laughs at my expression. She takes another long swig and her pupils dilate.

Four hours later she is asleep in my arms on the bed. All six bottles of corona are lying empty on the floor. She finished her first bottle in less than ten minutes and by the time I was done with my first bottle she had already drank three more. She passed out about twenty minutes later. I quietly reach for my phone and go to my notes.

1. Try alcohol.

I smile and delete the first thing on her list. I fall asleep beside her, thinking about what I can cross off her list tomorrow.
