"Your getting awfully intament with my hand there." Marley chuckled making me smile. I looked over at her and flashed her an amused look.

'Mark our mate now!' My wolf ordered. I internally groaned. My wolf has been going crazy ever since I saw Marley in the Call Room. He's wanted to go up to her and mark her right then and there. Me storming off only made him more determined to make her mine.

Now sitting in front of her with her hand against my lips, he's going crazy. I stood up abruptly, dropping her hand. "I have to go." As quickly as I could I walked out the cafeteria and away from Marley.

'You idiot!' my wolf barked at me, getting more and more tense the further away I moved from Marley. 'She was right there, you could have marked her.'

'No, she's human, she won't understand our world.'

'But she's not human.' He said softly. I stopped in my tracks. That wasn't possible but I do get a odd scent from her. 'She's a werewolf like us. Something's blocking her wolf, we need to find out what.'

I groaned, 'I know.'  I continued walking, not to sure of where I was heading, as long as I put enough distant between me and Marley. Which only made my wolf howl and complain even more about not having Marley in my arms. I shut him out and sighed.

Why did I have to have a human as a mate? Nothing against Marley herself. She's a pretty, fun, childish girl. I feel the reason we were chosen for each other is because Marley is an untamable soul that does as she pleases, while I like one-hundred percent control.

Marley, well Marley would get in my way of having control.

I took something in notice. Mate's are normally complete opposites. My parents are an example. My mom was the typical nerd girl. Quiet but stunning. My dad on the other hand was a loud Alpha that didn't care where he was, he did what ever he wanted to have fun.

Another example is Wade and Alyssa. Alyssa is a bubbly girl, while Wade is the calm type of guy. The old saying 'opposites attract' really comes into play when it comes to mates.

I walked in the office, walking straight to Mr. Harrison's office. "Hello Ryder." He acknowledged with a nod.

"Harrison." I took a quick seat and looked at him. "I wish to speak to my parents." He nodded.

"They are currently in the conference room coming up with a plan for dealing with the rouges." he answered and began to type away at his computer. I stood up and quickly made my way to the conference room.

My father is the Alpha, making me the soon-to-be Alpha. Just like in my situation, my mother was a human, only she wasn't a secret werewolf. She denied my dad's existence for three weeks because after he shifted and he found his mate, my mom, he went out of his way to be with her. It freaked her out.

He eventually had to explain his reasons to her. She was in complete shock but soon she accepted the roll of becoming a Luna and Alpha Female.

The only thing I could hope was Marley would be just as understanding as my mom.

I opened the door to the conference room. The only people in the room was my parents and Wade's parents, the current Beta was Wade's dad. "Beta Kris." I nodded to the current Beta and walked to my dad.

"It's been a while Ryder." my mom cooed standing up and kissing me cheek, I hugged her back quickly and looked over at my dad.

"Can I speak to you?" My dad nodded and lead us out the room.
