Ryder's P.O.V

This week was one of the most unsuccessful weeks in my life. Not just because of the whole 'not having your mate you'll die' shit. My attempts to talk to Marley have all blew up in my face.

The affect I had on her, she had on me. I know I have an affect because of how jealous she became when Victoria told her about being 'sex buddies'. But the jealousy is good. It means the mate bond is stronger than I thought.

But not strong enough.

Just a few hours ago, I was walking oh-so gracefully down the halls when I hear Marley's voice. Obviously I went to her only to find her talking to another male. And not one of those officers or Wade. It was a human male.

I went crazy on him, only to be scolded by Marley. It was the most heart wrenching moment of my life, no exaggeration.

The fact that Marley would stick up for some scrawny male instead of coming to my side bothered me to no end. Oh and my wolf.

"Ryder, open the door, we need to talk." Someone's confident voice broke into my thoughts. I knew who it was. I'd be crazy not to. It was my dad. And he was using his Alpha tone. This is serious.

Jumping off my bed, I made my way over to my door. Quickly opening to reveal mom, dad, and a few pack warriors.

That alerted me.

The pack warriors always stayed on the outside of the building, pretending to be prison guards. They would never come to us unless one of the Alpha family members call them or there is trouble.

"Is...is something wrong?"

"Yes, rogues." my dad growled, pushing past be, followed by mom and the warriors. "They've come onto our borders." I narrowed my eyes, sitting down on my bed.

"Well, take them down. It can't be that hard."

"You don't understand." dad shook his head. "They've teamed up with the hunters and something we're not aware of."

"What do you mean?"

"We mean," mom cut in, sitting next to me. "they teamed up with something completely new to us." I paused.

Rogues are tougher than they seem. Grouping up with hunters is bad. But teaming up with something unknown is worse. We don't know they're advances or what they have up their sleeve making it harder for us to defend ourselves.

"What are we going to do?"

"We're heading back to the pack." dad said simply, shrugging.

"The pack?" I sat on the edge of the bed. Coming to the Juvenile Delinquent Center was to hide for the time being. We we're being attacked by a large amount of hunters. To save the pack, we sent them to different areas.

Most went to our neighboring pack while the others came here. Everything cleared up a while ago but dad decided on keeping mom, dad, Wade (the future Beta), Wade's parents, me, and a few pack warriors here. Wade convinced dad to let Alyssa stay.

"Yes, we have to go in the morning too."

"Morning!?" I jumped up off the bed. "B-but my mate dad! She's here and I can't leave."

"We never said anything about having you leave her." My dad smiled, showing off his white teeth.

"What the hell are--ow!" I felt a stinging pain on the back of my head.
