Marley’s P.O.V
*After Ryder leaves*
“I’ll be right back.” Ryder promised. I nodded in response and without another word he and Wade left, rather quickly. Things have been changing rapidly. When I woke up in the hospital room all I wanted to do was cuddle Ryder. Something about that gave me a sense of peace and comfort. But it scared me. It scared me how he could make me feel so calm with just a touch when my mom had to do a whole routine.
I was suddenly snapped out my thoughts when Ryder’s window creaked open and three men snuck in. I wanted to scream for Ryder but before I could one of the men stepped forward and muffled it with a towel. “Scream or struggle and we kill Ryder.” He threatened.
I nodded in understanding with wide-eyes. The threat made something in me stir and have the urgency to protect Ryder like he was me. Well… he was in a way protecting me. The other two stepped forward, tying my hands and legs. I wanted to struggle and rip free of their grasps, to run to Ryder, but the fear was overwhelming.
A nasty sent infiltrated my nose, making me want to cover my nose. The last thing I realized was one of them blind-folding me and knocking me out. But somehow the only thought that passed my way was that I was somehow keeping Ryder safe from whom ever these men were.
Ryder’s P.O.V
My bodies gone numb just like my wolf. I haven’t heard from him in a while. The last thing I heard from him was ‘Our mate was taken and it’s your fault’, he whimpered and went quiet. To be honest, I believed him. If I could have sensed the damn rouges. But here’s the thing.
They masked their scents, those smart bastards. The only way too actually smell was to be directly in front of them. I slumped in the leather seat I was currently sitting in. Dad, who was in front of me, was pacing back and forth, gripping the phone to his ear tighter. He was trying to contact our neighboring pack for some help.
“Alpha Kenning.” Dad spoke finally. I motioned for him to pass me the phone and he nodded. “My son would like to speak to you about something very important.” A few mumbled from the other line were heard until dad passed me the phone.
“Ryder James Blake, soon-to-be-Alpha of the Silent Striking Pack,” He said as if he was reading straight from a file. “How can I help you?”
“My mate has been were-napped by a group of rouges, they masked their scent so that we were unable to hunt them down.” I explained and stood up. “What I need is for you to help me search for her.”
“In order for us to do so we’d need the scent of your mate.” He stated. I sighed. That’s right, if the rouges weren’t smart to mask Marley’s scent then we’d be with her in under a few days.
“I have a few article’s that you pack can sniff.” Although I didn’t want anyone near Marley’s belongings it had to be done to save her.
“Hm,” He hummed in thought. He gave an order, covering the ear piece before returning to the phone. “We’re in. We’ll be there in under ten minutes.”
I nodded but soon stopped myself, “Thank you Alpha Kenning.”
“Anything to help a fellow pack find their soon to be Luna. I’d be shit without my mate.” I could hear the smile that was plastered on his face. He mumbled a weak, ‘see you soon’ before hanging up.
“Well?” Dad asked raking a hand through his hair. “Will they help?”
I nodded, sighing in relief. “Yes, they’ll be here soon.” I slumped into the seat and put my face into my hands, felling weaker than a few minutes ago.
