Epilogue

“Can you pass me the butter Jamie?” I asked and continued stirring the flour. I turned slightly and watched as Jamie stood on her tip-toes, trying to get the butter on the counter.
“Move aside. Let the big man get the butter.” Jordan, Jamie’s twin brother, said and pushed Jamie slightly. The twins were the biggest and happiest thing that happened to the Silent Striking Pack. They are the first twins and the first opposite gender twins. The pack love and adore them to the point where they’re smothered to the bone. But they hate the attention.
“Mommy told me to grab the butter, not you!” Jamie shouted and pushed Jordan back. Jordan hit the ground with a thud and whimpered.
“Jamie.” I warned and put the wooden spoon down to pick up Jordan. “How about you two go play outside?” I suggested with a smile.
“But I want to help you.” Jamie said and walked up to where I was crouched down.
“Me too.” Jordan agreed and tugged on the hem of my shirt. I sighed. Twins were harder than they seem. I opened my mouth to reply but that’s when the scent I loved so much infiltrated my nose and I knew Ryder was home. I heard his boots on the wooden floor before I saw him.
Ryder walked into the kitchen and chuckled at us. “Hey,” was all he said to make the twins detach from me and run to their father. Ryder bent down and scooped them up into his arms. The twins loved Ryder. They couldn’t go one day without seeing him or they’d flip shit. Even their favorite toy car.
“Daddy, I was helping mommy make the cake!” Jamie shouted and pointed to the butter. “But I couldn’t get the butter. And, and! Jordan pushed me!”
“You pushed me too!” Jordan yelled and reached over to pinch Jamie. Jamie started crying and clutched Ryder’s shirt. “Oh, Jamie I’m sorry.” Jordan said while his eyes watered.
“Jordan, you can’t pinch your sister.” Ryder scolded and put Jordan down.
Jordan sniffed and touched Jamie’s back but Jamie swatted his arm away while hiding into Ryder shirt. “Jamie, I’m sorry.” I chuckled at Jordan and crouched down behind him. The twins have always been emotional towards each other. If Jordan was upset, Jamie was upset. If Jamie was mad, Jordan was mad. And even though they were sometimes rough with each other, they always protected each other, Jordan was more protective towards Jamie.
“You hurt me.” She whispered and held out her chubby arm. Jordan grabbed Jamie’s arm and kissed it.
“There, I kissed it better.” Jordan patted her arm. Ryder and I chuckled at twins and soon Jamie chuckled too.
“Okay.” She sniffed and wiped away her tears and nose. Jordan grabbed Jamie and pulled her into a hug. “I love you Jordan.”
“I love you too Jamie.”
Ryder patted the twin’s backs and pushed them slightly towards their play room. “Go play guys.” The twins nodded and ran to their play room leaving Ryder and I alone. “How are you doing?” He asked and helped me stand up.
“Fine, the older they get the more troublesome.” I chuckle and place my hand onto my swollen stomach. I was currently carrying our daughter who has been in there four months already yet so big. The twins, when they were in the womb, were twice as big at four months.
Ryder said it was because werewolves were bigger and developed faster, especially if they had Alpha blood. The twins took five months and so will this one. “You go rest, I’ll finish the cake.” Ryder ordered and pushed me towards the stairs.
