8. 'Pointing Out Your Blush Makes You Blush More'.
Not edited.
To say meeting Ryder's dad was awkward and unpleasant is an understatement. But there was something that made me feel uneasy. The flash of worry in Mr. Blake's eyes. I just met this guy and he was worried? Not only did worry flash through his eyes but a flash up uncertainty flashed through them too.
Was he already sizing me up?
Sizing me up for what?
I shook my head, unlocking my door. Before Ryder and his dad came into Barbie's room; we were playing a nice peaceful, note the sarcasm, game of 'tossing the paper ball into the trash can'. Of course I won.
I stripped down of my clothes and got into the shower. Taking a nice hot shower always seems to sooth me. Before I came here, the only reason I would take a long shower at home would be because of school pressure.
Now it's because I ended up in a school for delinquents and I wanted out. I've called Talia once since I got here. It turned in a scream feast. Well I whispered-yelled.
Wrapping a towel around my wet body, I snuck a glance at myself in the mirror. Instead of my eyes being their average brown shade; they were a shade of hazel, almost green.
I turned away from the mirror and quickly got dressed in my warm pajamas.
As soon as my head the pillow I was pulled into the darkness called sleep.

"Where are we?" I asked looking around at sight before me. A beautiful waterfall surrounded by big oak trees. The lake itself was beautiful. The water was a perfect shade of blue, one I loved. Small flowers peaked out around the lake while small colorful fishes swam around the lake.
The sight was breathtaking.
"My secret spot." he responded and dipped his legs into the lake. He patted the spot next to him. "Come sit." Within a second I was sitting down, pulling up the long white dress I wore to dip my legs into the lake too.
"It's beautiful." I mumbled, looking around again, still astonished.
"Mhm," He agreed silently. "But, not as beautiful as you."
I snorted, "That's so cheesy."
"Well it's true." He smiled. I shook my head but before I knew it; his arm wrapped around my waist, tugging me closer to him. Almost immediately sparks engulfed me. He pecked my temple causing me to giggle like a school girl.
As soon as the giggle left my lips, I covered my mouth; ashamed it slip. He gave me a curious look before beginning to peel my fingers away from my mouth. He shuffled closer to my ear. "Don't be ashamed Marley." He moved his lips away, grazing them lightly on my cheek.
He was a few inches away from mouth. I shut my eyes ready for what was coming next. I heard shuffling and soon felt alone. "Ryder?"
I slowly opened my eyes, for some reason scared. In front of me was no longer a beautiful lake and water fall, instead it was just woods.
I stood up quickly when I heard a low growl. "R-Ryder?" I turned around and gasped. There stood a dark, almost midnight, black wolf, his light grey eyes sparkled with light greens flicks in his iris. What was scary was how the wolf was twice as big as an average wolf, or the fact that he was bearing his teeth.
He stepped forward, growling.
I prepared to run, looking around for a quick second. Before I could even take a step; the wolf pounced. I let out a blood curling scream.
