*Vic's POV*
This morning I woke up very energetic as I prepared myself for my first day at my new job. He didn't quite specify what my position was, but he said he would tell me once I got there.

I headed out of my apartment, looking up at the sky, "New day, new beginning."

As excited as I was, I didn't anticipate traffic. I was used to nice, quiet drives at night, not noisy cars and angry drivers in the morning but I wasn't going to let that ruin my mood. I turned on the radio and hummed along to some pop song as I drove to work.

I strolled inside the building, feeling like I was on top of the world. I received a couple of admiring stares and jaw drops from several female workers, making me feel kind of awkward with this new attention I was receiving.

I smiled at them, giving them a polite wave, "Good morning, ladies."

They giggled and waved back as I continued walking towards Jaime's office. I knocked on the door and patiently waited.

"Come in!" I walked in, closing the door behind me, "Ey, my man, Vic! You lookin' fly today."

I chuckled, "Thanks, Jaime. So, what's my first task for today?"

"Slow down, man, we're just about to have breakfast," he spoke on his phone intercom, "Erin, please bring us our breakfast."

"Right away, sir." She said, she sounded so adorable.

"She's an amazing baker, I wouldn't be surprised if she quit her job to open her own bakery," he chuckled, "Anyway, last night I was thinking about what position I could give you and I thought of one that couldn't be any more perfect."

"Oh, really? What position is that?"

"My secretary!" He put his hands behind his neck and kicked his feet up on his desk.

"Your... secretary?" I expected anything but that, honestly.

"Of course, I don't have one so this is a perfect opportunity. You just jumped a whole bunch of levels, I hope you know that, you could've been the one in charge of the copy machine or restocking supplies."

I smiled as I remembered Kellin complaining about always getting paper cuts because of people over copying documents, "Seems good, I'll do it."

"We'll get to work with each other, you just have to file some paperwork, answer some calls, and now I won't have anyone barge into my office without them passing through you first."

"Your employees have done that?"

"Oh yes, there's this specific one that keeps forgetting to knock the door before coming in. What was her name again...? Jessenia? Jessica I think it was, although she insists on me calling her Jess."

Looks like I'll have to look out for her, "Is that all?"

"Yeah, for now, I might as you to come help me with some filing or ask you to stay overtime with me. If you don't mind, of course," he said.

"It's not like I have a life anyway," I joked.

Not anymore anyway, I used to spend most of my time with Kellin. We would watch movies, go shopping- well, he would do the shopping- do random dances, visit museums, read together, I could go on and on. God, I miss him so much already.

Jaime was right, Erin was great at baking, the breakfast was amazing. I was now sitting outside his office on the reception desk, filing documents of all sorts when I saw my brother coming towards me.

"Sup, bro!" He said.

"Hey, Mi- dude, you smell like weed," I whisper yelled.

"Oh shít, really?" He smelled his tanktop, "Nahhh."

I facepalmed myself, "What brings you here?"

"Mamá told me to bring you this," he held out a brown bag, "She told me to tell you," he cleared his throat and in a high-pitched voice he said, "Mijo, tell Victor I said buena suerte!"

I rolled my eyes as I grabbed the bag, "What's this?"

"Your lunch."

I groaned as I heard a Erin giggle as she passed by, "Could you embarrass me any worse?"

"Actually-"

"Forget I said anything, tell her I said thank you," I opened the bag that revealed molé with yellow rice and a little note from mamá.

"Sure, see ya!" He said and walked away.

I put my bag to the side, "Oo, that smells good! Your mom has to teach me how to make that," Erin said, sniffing the air, "Whatever it is."

I smiled, I liked her already, "Of course, I'll tell her to give you the recipe."

~
I found myself at the library, the same spot where I had been with Kellin last. I picked out the silly Twilight book he loved and sat down. I noticed that he didn't finish reading it, he left his bookmark in it. I read on from where he left off,

"Bella, it's going to be all right."

"But it won't be all right when I'm not with you," I whispered.

"We'll be together again in a few days," he said, tightening his arm around me.

I sighed and closed the book, never have I ever been so jealous of a character in a book.
