Kellin and Vic have been bestfriends since middle school, following each other to highschool and then college. After graduating, they ended up getting a job in a company together... as janitors. They didn't mind as long as they were together but one...
*Vic's POV* I pushed him back, "J-Jaime, I can't do this..."
He pouted, "Why not?"
"This isn't right, we're drunk," as a matter of fact, my head was spinning like crazy.
"Correction," he tapped my nose, "You're drunk, I can handle my alcohol," he smirked but became serious again, "I've liked you for a really long time... I couldn't lay my eyes off you when you started working here. I didn't know how to approach you but now that we've been working together, my feelings for you have only gotten stronger."
I felt myself blushing because I couldn't deny the fact that I had some sort of feelings for him, yet I didn't want to give in because my heart and mind were still for Kellin, "I like you too but I... I still have feelings for someone else, it isn't right for me to be with you," I looked away from his gaze.
He turned my head, making me keep eye contact with him, "I can help you forget, it wouldn't hurt to try. The only thing that matters now is that you feel something for me too, maybe that feeling could grow over time... maybe overcoming the feelings you have for the other person."
He looked so hopeful, I guess I could give it a try. Kellin left me without a reason so why should I waste my life waiting for him when there was a possibility that he wouldn't come back? Jaime has been helping me cope with Kellin's sudden disappearance, he was keeping my afloat in my sea of sadness and isolation.
"You're right, I think we could give this a chance," I said with a small grin.
His smile grew wide, "You just made me the happiest man on earth," he cupped my cheeks, "May I?"
I giggled, "At least you asked me the second time."
His lips lightly pressed onto mine, being gentle yet passionate at the same time with the taste of vodka and tequila, and maybe a whole lot of regret. But hey, sometimes you just have to forget regret.
~ A Year Later
I would occasionally stay over at Jaime's for some late night fun if you know what I mean. Last night was one of those days, so we ended up driving together to work.
"Hey babe, how come you don't move in with me?" He asked.
We've become inseparable, we went almost everywhere together... just like I used to do with Kellin...
I shook away the thought of Kellin, "I like my apartment and besides, my brother comes to sleep over sometimes."
He would come when he was either high or hungover and didn't want to deal with mamá's speech about responsibility, "He can sleep over at my house if he wants to," Jaime said.
I giggled, "That's very kind of you but I don't feel ready to leave my apartment just yet."
We arrived at the company, Erin quickly approached us, "Hey guys, you need to see this."
She handed us a magazine, "What's this?"
"Your lingerie designs were a success, Vic! They'll be featured on the Victoria's Secret Lingerie runway!"
I couldn't believe it, "Are you serious?"
"Yes!" She cheered joyfully, "Congratulations!"

Jaime picked me up and twirled me around, "Congrats, babe! I knew I could count on you."
I smiled bashfully, "Thanks guys."
"Also, they need a couple of models from our agency to represent us. Alysha would've been the perfect candidate... only that they don't accept tattooed models," she said with a frown.
"Why don't you be one of our models?" Jaime suggested.
Her face turned bright pink, "N-No thanks, I'll stick to baking."
I giggled at her reaction, "We'll need to put up flyers around the company, women can audition and we'll choose who can represent us."
"That's actually not a bad idea," Jaime said thoughtfully, "Erin, start making flyers and have Tony help you hang them around."
"Tony?" She asked, confused, "Who's that?"
"He's a new worker that was recommended by Vic," Mike had told me that Tony needed a job and since he was a childhood friend, I thought I should give him a hand.
"Okay, I'll try looking for him," she said and skipped away.
"You'll be deciding on who is the perfect candidate to represent our company," Jaime said.
"W-What? Why me?" I hated the idea of having an entire company depend on me.
"You were the designer so I'm guessing you know what kind of girl you would want to wear your designs," he chucked and kissed the side of my head, "Don't worry, you'll do great as always."
"No pressure," I muttered under my breath.
