Vivienne had been up for only a few minutes, to start the coffee, when she heard a light rap on the front door. Thinking it to be odd for someone to be knocking on their door at a quarter til 6, she pulled her robe tighter around her, and cautiously approaches the front door. She peeped through the hole, and was pleasantly surprised to see her future son-in-law standing on the porch holding the most beautiful flowers.
"Well, good morning Benny." Vivienne said, opening the door wide, "Please come in."
"Thank you Mrs.Lewis." Benjamin quietly said, as he stepped over the threshold. "I'm so sorry it's so early, I hope I didn't wake you." He apologized.
"Oh, no." Vivienne said, "I just got up to start the coffee, would you like some?"
"I'm fine right now, thank you though. Is Shaliene awake?" Benjamin responded.
"I don't think so, but she should be getting up soon to get ready for school...."
"...um, can I go..wake her up..I mean, I have a birthday suprise for her..." Benjamin asked.
Smiling at his awkwardnesss, Vivienne replied, "Absolutely, but let me warn you, before her first cup of coffee she's a different person."
"I'll remember that, thank you." He replied grinning, taking the stairs two at a time.
Vivianne grinned at Benjamin's attitude towards Shaliene. Thank you Lord for blessing Shay with such a sweet young man, let your will be done in their lives.
