"Thanks for going with me today Ben." I said as I exited the car as he held my door open.
"No problem Shay. I had a great time." he replied as we walked up to my front door.
"I'll see you tomorrow afternoon, right?" I asked as I searched through my bag for my keys.
"You bet." he answered as I unlocked the door.
"Hey, you get to meet my sisters tomorrow." I said realizing that they hadn't met my 'soon-to-be husband' yet. I still haven't fully gotten used to that idea yet...how long would that take?
"Yeah, you're right. I can't wait to meet them." he said in an excited manner. "Do you think they'll approve?" He asked in a deep, joking tone.
"Definitely." I replied knowing my sisters would love him and treat him like the brother we never had.
"Aright. I'll see you tomorrow." he said with a smile as he turned and walked back to his car.
"See you then, Benny!" I said, emphasizing his dreaded nickname.
"Haha." he said in a sarcastic voice before yelling back in an extremely girly squeal (or as girly as his voice would allow),
"Bye BFF! TTYL!" which got quite a laugh from me as opened the door and walked in. As soon as I walked in I was bombarded by my mother with questions.
"Where did y'all go? How was it? Did y'all have fun?"
"We want to the mall, it was great, I had alot of fun." I said quickly answering her questions as I headed up the stairs. After closing my door and setting my bags down, I flopped onto the bed. Best day ever! I thought, as I laid there for a bit, before going over to my radio and starting the music. I relaxed to classical and instrumental tunes, as I unloaded my bags and began wrapping the gifts. Books for my sister Laura, a video game and karaoke CD for my sister Theresa, and a new album from my sister Annabelle's favorite artist and new ballet shoes. Awesome, I thought, they're going to love it...I hope.
