4 // Questions

~~~ Y/N's POV ~~~

Weeks have passed since that fangirl posted that picture of Austin and I dancing. People did definitely look at us at school thinking that it was true. We smiled at them when they did though. That didn't give an exact answer.

Something happened between Brianna and Chandler. They barely talked to each other and Brianna didn't sit with us at lunch anymore. I just hoped it was nothing horrible. 

Other than all the drama that was going on, I was doing pretty good with school. My grades seemed to be doing very well and I didn't have a problem with any of my teachers.

I was sitting at the table we always sat at during lunch and Austin was smiling at me. Not a smile with his teeth showing, but it was a cute one that made his dimples show. I started to realize that I might have been growing feelings for him. He did look handsome and it seemed like our feelings for each other were mutual. I hoped they were. 

"Questions." Austin randomly said. I tilted my head sideways. He laughed. "Have you ever thought about that word and how it was invented? I mean this could go for any word."

I smiled and blushed a little. The way he thought about random things made me feel like there were butterflies fluttering around in my stomach. Maybe those fangirls were right , we couldn't hide things like this from them. 

"No not really. But it is something interesting to think about." I responded. I had almost forgotten that Alex and Chandler were there too.

They were having their own conversation, but surprisingly I didn't hear one thing about The Walking Dead. I didn't want to eavesdrop because it could've been personal stuff like about what's going on with Brianna. That would have been awkward if they noticed me listening. 

The bell rang for the end of 5th period. I looked across to where Austin was sitting, but he was already gone. He left a note right in front of me. I took it with me. I couldn't wait any longer, so I opened it while walking down the hallway.

'Meet me outside of the main office after school. -Austin'

I folded it neatly and tucked it in my backpack.

School was finally over that day. Ever since I got that letter from Austin, it made the rest of my classes slower. For some reason, I couldn't help but smile whenever I daydreamed about him during class. I'm pretty sure my face was bright pink as well. I couldn't wait to meet him after school. 

There was just one thing that seemed a bit odd. Chandler was staring at me. He was in most of my classes and Brianna I think noticed that he was. She kind of glared at me. She probably thought I was smiling because of Chandler. I frowned and kept my focus on the lesson for the last 20 minutes. 

When I got outside, I couldn't find Austin anywhere. I had a mini freak out. 

Maybe he was planning a prank now. 

Oh, God, I am so stupid.

I felt someone's hands grab my shoulders and turn me around. I panicked for a split second, but then I saw Austin's face. 

"Ugh, you scared me." I gave him a playful push. 

"I know, sorry. You seemed worried, I shouldn't have done that." He tucked a piece of my H/C hair behind my ear. I blushed, but I couldn't tell how badly. I tried covering my face with my hand. 

He moved my hand away though. "I was thinking we could we go to my house for a little bit." Austin suggested. 

"Yeah, just let me tell my brother." 

Thankfully, I found him leaving the school and I tapped his shoulder.  "Alex, I'm going to Austin's for a little bit." I said. 

"Okay, I'm going to Chandler's, so the parents are going to be alone tonight." he replied, looking down at his phone. 

I walked off back to Austin and looked up at him. 

"C'mon, let's go." he said taking my hand. I followed him to his car and we drove off to his place. 

~~~ Austin's POV ~~~ 

I was really excited about Y/N coming over. I've been dying to ask her out for a long time, but I knew it was going to be weird if I asked her right away. I started to wonder about how everyone would react. 

My parents would probably be proud because I don't really get girlfriends. 

Most of my fans already ship us just because of that one picture. 

Then, I thought about all of my close friends at school. 

Katelyn doesn't even know about Alex and Y/N yet. 

Alex might beat me up if we possibly break up. I didn't even want to think about though. We weren't even a thing yet. 

Chandler though... he's been seeming distant ever since Y/N and I have been growing close. I don't know how he'd react if we got together. 

I shook the thoughts away. As long as I was with someone I cared about, I didn't give a crap what others though.

We got to my place and my parents were still at work. They usually didn't get home until 10:00 or 10:30. 

I turned the tv on and we watched a little bit of cartoons together. I slowly wrapped my right arm around her. I did eventually, but she didn't seem to notice. She was too distracted by the tv. Maybe by the time the episode was over, she might see that I am trying to ask her out. 

Out of random, I paused the show. She looked over at me. "What's wrong, Austin?" she asked. 

I shrugged my shoulders. "There's just one thing..." 

I was making a fool of myself. 

She didn't say anything, she waited for me to say what that one thing was.  "I was wondering.... i-if you would like to...." I groaned and used both my hands to cover my face up. 

Y/N took my hands and put them to my side... she pecked me on the lips right after. 

"Does that answer your question?" she smiled. I laughed and I could tell that both of our faces were very red. I hugged her and I felt her arms wrap around me. We stayed like that for a long amount of time.

"I'm pretty sure fangirls know we are in here. Wanna give them the good news?" Y/N asked.

 I nodded. 

"Yeah, let's show them." I took her hand and went to my backyard. We were still holding hands and I looked over at her. We both leaned in until our lips met. It was for a little longer so that the fangirls could take a picture. We stopped and noticed that they were shouting out our ship name. We laughed and I decided to drop her off at her house. It was already almost 4:30.
