6 // The Dinner ...

~~~ Y/n's POV ~~~

I got home and immediately went to my bedroom. I placed my rose that Austin had given me on top of my dresser and looked through my closet to find something to wear. I picked out the only two dresses I had and threw them against my bed. I looked at both of the dresses and sighed. They both didn't look like something you would wear to a fancy dinner. 

One dress had two layers. The first one was sky blue and fitted and the second layer was very loose and see-through with flower designs. It seemed a bit informal. 

The other dress was a bit too formal. It was a pastel pink and had jewels above my waist. Don't get me wrong, the dress was very beautiful, but I didn't want to go out of my way for this dinner. That was my mom's prom dress and she said she wanted to give it to me in case I liked it. 

I groaned and Mom must have heard me because she walked in. 

"You having trouble, sweetie?" she asked putting her hands on my shoulders. I nodded and sat on my bed between the two dresses. 

"I do have something you could wear and no it's not old." Mom chuckled and motioned me to follow her. I stood up and we got to her room. She went into her walk-in closet and it took her a minute to walk back out with an outfit in her hands. 

It was a pink satin blouse with a red pencil skirt. There was a beige blazer with it.
