Day Four

Day Four: #5 cooked you dinner? (Natsu)

I open up the door to my apartment and flop onto the couch. "Finalllllllllyyy!" I somewhat cheer. "I'm hooome.." I close my eyes and sigh happily.

"SAAAEEEEKOOO!" Two extremely happy voices shout. "YOU'RE HOOOOOME! WE MISSED YOU SO MUCH!" I open my eyes and grimace. Natsu and Happy are wearing aprons, dancing around my living room.

"What.. the hell.. are you two doing?"

"Well, since you just came back from a long job, we decided to cook you dinner!" They both smile, happy and proud. I grin back.

"You guys are so sweet." I manage to get up and hug both of them.

"D'awwh." Natsu pats my head. "Now come sit at the table. I'll begin to cook."

He pulls the chair out for me, and I sit, glad to be off my feet again. He hovers over the oven, some sort of meat in his hand. "How the hell do you turn this thing on..?" He searches it all over and pushes random buttons. Oh god... Please don't break it.. "Whatever, I'll just cook it myself!" He fires up his hands and rubs the meat all over. This.. doesn't look sanitary.. at all..

"Happy, how the heck do you boil water?"

"Beats me!" Happy looks at the pot of uncooked rice infront of him. "Stick your hands in the water. That should make it boil."

Oh, please.. He doesn't even..

"Huh, that actually seems to work! Get prepared to have the meal of your life, Saeko!"

A while later, a plate full of unidentifiable objects is placed infront of me. Charred meat, half cooked rice.. I pick up the fork and take a couple bites, automatically regretting ever doing so. "Ah, I uh.. Here, you can eat this. I just remembered I have dinner plans with Gajie.."

"Awh, are you sure? You're missin' out!" Natsu digs in happily.

"Y-yeah. I'll see you tomorrow, Natsu-Kun." I hug him tight and set off on my way to the guild. Gajeel, you better fucking be there. "Owwie.." I cling to my stomach, feeling imense pain. Suddenly, I find myself unable to walk. I collapse on the sidewalk, crying out in anguish.

"Saeko, is that you?" Gajeel dashes over to me, then everything goes black.

I open my eyes to an unfamiliar room. "Wh-what..?" I attempt to sit up.

"Shh, just rest.." Gajeel gently pushes me back onto the cushy surface. He looks at me with a worried smile. "I'm glad you're finally awake."

"Where am I?" I feel around for his hand, and when I find it, I pull it up to my cheek.

"At the guild. Wendy treated you for food poisining. It seems like you had it pretty bad, Sae.. What the hell did you eat?"

"Ah.." I nod, understanding the situation. "Natsu came over and made dinner for me, since I had just gotten back from that job."

"God damn that Salamander! I swear I'll make him pay for hurting you like this! He should know better than to mess with my girl." He stands up and punches the wall, frustrated.

"Gajie, shh.. He didn't mean any harm. He was trying to be nice.. He's just a terrible cook." I smile weakly. He looks down at me and returns the grin.

"If you say so, Saeko.." He runs his hand through my hair and kisses my temple. "I'll be back, I'm going to go get a fresh cloth for your forehead." He leaves the room hesitantly. I close my eyes and sigh. The door opens again.

"Hey, Saeko." Pantherlily's voice surprises me.

"Oh, Lily! Hey," I look over and grin at him.

"I'm very glad to see you up and healthy again. Gajeel was so worried about you. He hasn't left your side in hours."

"R-really?" I feel my cheeks light up.

"Yeah. He really cares about you, you know." Lily smiles wide at me.

"I'm ba-.. Lily, what did you tell her?" He notices our expressions.

"Just how much you looooove her."

"I-I, gah!" I giggle at his flushed response.

"Thank you, for taking such good care of me, Gajeel. I don't know what I'd do without you." I sit up and kiss his cheek, only causing his face to turn more red.

"I, uhm.. You're welcome." He shyly kisses my cheek back, then replaces the cloth on my forehead. "Now get some more rest. I'll stay by your side.." He places his hand on my tummy and begins to sing me to sleep.

I'm so lucky to have you, Gajeel.. I love you.
