Kelly's pov
I finish my chicken wings and turn to Josh.
"Are ready to dump your tray?"
"Yeah."
I let go of his hand, getting up and dumping my tray. I turn around and wait for him, then we go back and sit down again. He takes my hand lacing our fingers together again. I smile to myself and wonder how on earth my life ever ended up as amazing as this. I feel like this is a dream, and if so, I don't ever want to wake up. I lean my head on his shoulder because I'm tired. I inhale through my nostrils. I chuckle to myself softly.
"What are you laughing at?" Josh asks looking down at me.
"You smell good." I say smileing again.
"Ummm Ok, thanks."
"Your welcome." I say sighing. My life is so great right now. Actually, I dont think it could be any better.
Once our table gets dismissed for sixth period, Josh walks with me to writing class. I smile and wave to him and turn into writing and sit next to Sage.
"You look happy." she says eyeing me oddly.
"I am, I'm living a dream and its great."
"Lucky." she says laughing.
I told her about what a bitch my mom was today. And how Brenda is letting me stay at her house. And that I don't care what my mom has to say. She laughs again.
"That sounds great how you are sort of showing your mom she has no say in what you do in life, as long as you don't get in trouble or grounded."
"I know, if shes going to treat me like shit, and not talk to me before doing dumb things, fine I won't come home until I'm ready lady!" I say, then I realize I ruined my perfectly happy mood. Oops.
"Same, except I'm not that brave."
"It's ok, it's probably better to stay out of trouble anyway."
"Yeah."
