Song for this chapter: All Star by Smash mouth

When I walked into the gym this morning I had no idea what a nightmare today's class was going to be. It started out like it usually did, I refused to change because my grade wasn't bad and I liked to tick off our teacher, Ms. Trenton. She always asks me If  I changed into gym clothes and I always laugh at her and say "No why would I?"
We all grabbed a basketball and started shooting hoops until
class started. I made a couple of hoops but missed most of my shots. I've never really been good at sports so I didn't expect too much.
Ms. Trenton blew the whistle signaling us to put our basketballs away. We all collected by the stage getting ready to do three minutes of laps. I went and stood by my friend Leigha while we waited to get the signal to start. A minute later the whistle blew. We started out at a run/jog as we always do and just talked.
"I wonder what we will play today." I wondered out loud.
"I think Ms. Trenton said we will play volleyball." Leigha replied.
We both groaned, we both aren't good at sports in general but volleyball is one of our worst sports. Neither of us can serve a ball very good and as hard as I try, I can't hit the ball strait over the net. Leigha almost always hurts her wrist somehow. And then there's Avery, she is good at like every sport. Even volleyball, the only problem with her and volleyball is she has trouble staying on her feet, other than that, she's pretty good at it. The whistle blew again and we walked back towards the stage.
I watched as Ms. Trenton got out the net and some other kids came over to help her set it up. We have a really small gym class so we only use one net. When we first begin volleyball we use a really big ball. Ms. Trenton picked our teams and we went to our places, Leigha was on my team, Avery was too. That made me feel a little better because like I said, she's good.
We lost the first game 15 to 21. But we won the second one 21 to 19. Everyone got packed up and changed. We were waiting for the bell to ring. I was standing by the stairs to go to band and was holding my phone texting my mom. Lexi walked over to me with a sneer on her face.
