I tiredly trudge behind Alpha Frank up a dirt track.
Half an hour. Half an hour since I decided to go for a run. Half an hour since I was surrounded by wolves. Half an hour since I let them lead me away.
Fifteen minutes since Kat and I fought.
The worst fifteen minutes of my life.
I don't like fighting with anyone, but Kat was my best friend, she was half of me. Literally.
Being stuck with no one to talk to, possibly on my way to death has given me a lot of time to reminisce on the past.
Frank wheels his horse to the right and we come out on a gravel road.
Up ahead lays a huge white mansion that I'm guessing is the pack house.
A 'Welcome to...' sign had been covered in spray paint so it now read 'Welcome to yo' momma!'
Some idiot obviously thinking they were funny.
"I really need to fix that sign." The Alpha sighed as if reading my thoughts.
We we're alone, the other wolves had run ahead earlier.
As we plod up what I'm assuming is the driveway I notice how strong the scent of wolf is growing and thank my lucky stars that I won't be sniffed out as a human and that I will only ever smell like a horse.
My excuse for school was that I lived on a horse farm. Which was true.
Fifty meters or so from the door of the pack house stands a small girl.
"Horsey!" The five year old cries out.
"Careful Nari." The Alpha warns her but she doesn't listen.
It wouldn't matter. I would never EVER hurt a little child on purpose.

does this work?)I lower my muzzle and she grabs onto it.
She giggles as I lift her up. It reminds me of when Rain leads Spirit into her village.
The brown haired girl sighs unhappily as I put her down.
"Bu-bye horsey." She says waving. She takes a step back and I come closer to her.
She giggles and places the hand on my muzzle. She gently pats me. Of course when I say gently I mean she slams her palm down on my face repeatedly, but atleast she's trying to be gentle.
She pulls her hand away from my head and kisses my forelock.
I give her a small snort. She laughs in return.
"Nari," the Alpha says calmly. "Where's Uncle Zaiden?"
Nari looks to Alpha Frank.
"Uncel Zai is with Pappa."
He nods. "Okay. Go home Nari." She turns and runs into the white building that stands before us.
"My granddaughter loves horses." He explains. "You probably think I'm strange for talking to a horse but I know you're different."
Oh sh*t! What'd we do to give it away!
'Look who's back.'
Well you're the stupid idiot who got us here I gotta get us out!
