"Do you mind if I shift back?" I asked the two horses who plodded along beside me. "If I get caught I'm horse form there could be chaos."
Then again it would be a good way to tell Zaiden...
"No, that's fine Kat."
I thanked them before shifting.
The rain had subsided to a dull trickle but I was still soaked, mostly in sweat.
"Follow me." I told the mare and stallion before walking out into the open.
It was around 6:30 in the morning and Zaiden usually got up around 7.
Zeus and Flicka walk quietly behind me.
"ALISA! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?! I'VE BEEN WORRIED SICK!"
I groaned.
Busted!
"I wrote on the note I was going to be back soon. You shouldn't have worried."
"You're my mate. Its my job to worry."
I groaned once more. "I had to go get Zeus and Flicka." I motion towards the two. I dropped my voice to a whisper. "Flicka is Zeus' lady friend."
Zaiden raised his eyebrows before shrugging it off.
"There should be some free stalls, but I swear I'm not trusting that paint with you."
I groaned again. "He's a horse Zaiden! Get over yourself! As if I'd ever leave you. I was going to, I would have done it by now!"
He looked at me in shock. "I mean, I would have." I mumble.
"Whatever, just put them in the east paddock whilst Lucus sorts the stalls out."
I wrap my arms around his torso. "Thank you Zaiden. Thank you soooooo much!"
He giggled. "Its alright, but if there's a foal you have to train it." Flicka snorted.
Why do I get the feeling there already is a foal....
'Because you have a dirty mind.'
Oh, but Alisa, I am your mind.
"Aye aye, captain!" I saluted.
+++
"I'm starving!" I shouted as I walked inside the pack house.
"Hmmm." Zaiden grumbled.
After Zaiden and I had put Zeus -who Zaiden already disliked- and Flicka into the paddock we spent nearly an hour just sitting in the clearing despite the cold drizzle on our backs.
The kitchen was empty except for the indian myna bird, which had somehow got in. It was easy to get rid of really. Zaiden just called Patches -the cat- into the house.
It was entertaining to watch really. Patches grabbed the bird by the neck and it played dead so Patches let go of it and it started flying around the room, causing Zaiden and I to back into the island bench and knock all the pots and pans, that where sitting on it, off.
