Zaiden POV (thought I could mix it up a bit. Its limited edition.)
You know that one person you can look at and all of your worries wash away? The one that makes you safe, makes you feel like as long as you're with them you're home?
I did have that with someone. But they weren't a person. Or a werewolf.
Every-damn-time I look into her eyes its like something's pulling me in. Drawing me closer to her. I yearn for her touch and when I do my wolf -Xander- howls in longing.
But I would never work. I'm half human, half wolf and she's a full time horse.
Everything about her is perfect.
The light brown with barely visible lighter brown dapples. Her black mane that seems to flow endlessly. The tail she drags behind her. Black as midnight.
Her scent is full of horse manure but for some reason whenever Xander picks it up he howls in delight.
Her coat is always soft. Even after she's just rolled in mud.
Perfect. That's what Kat is. Pure one hundred percent perfection.
For nearly the past week I've worked her in the round pen. Eventually coaxing her into wearing the saddle blanket.
She keeps me on my toes, that's for sure.
However she wants nothing to do with the actual saddle.
"ZAIDEN! TIME TO GO!" A voice breaks me out of my day dream.
"Coming Dad!" I shout back.
My father decided to take me to mutual territory as my mate could be there.
For some reason going off of pack lands makes Xander howl in distraught.
This'll be a long day if he keeps this up.

"I'm sorry the search turned up empty." My dad apologized for about the millionth time.
Over exaggeration much?
'Shut up Xander!'
"Its fine Dad, she might be at the party."
He chuckled. "We can only hope."
Oh how I hope.

I know its short but I don't like switching POVs in the middle of chapters like a lot of people do.
