My body shook. I fought Kat from taking over.
"Mine." He growled, drawing me back to the present day. Where I hoped I'd open my eyes any second now and I'd be home. "What's your name beautiful?"
Beautiful! He called us beautiful!
"A-a-alisa," I swallowed the hard lump in my throat. "Alisa Adams."
"Well, A-a-alisa, I'm Zaiden." Hde introduced himself.
"Yeah. I know who you are."
He cocked his head on the side.
"How?" He smirked before continuing. "I guess you would know who I was. I mean you were caught stealing."
"I wasn't stealing." I push him away and go sit by Aman. I run my hand down his neck soothingly. Zaiden let's out a growl. "Cool your jets! One- he's a gelding and two- he's a horse!"
We are too.
Zaiden whimpered at my scolding and lowered his head.
I groaned. "Whatever. I'm going!" I stood up and walked out the stall door.
No! Don't leave mate!
I heard Zaiden close the door behind him.
"Where are you going?"
"Home."
This -of course- resulted in me being slammed against one of the walls.
My breath hitched as he breathed out deeply into my face.
"No." He commanded me. I slowly moved my head up and down. "Good. Follow me." He walked away but when he noticed I wasn't following he turned back and lifted me by my hips and carried me bridal style.
He walked down the row of stalls until he stop at one. An empty one. Kat's one.
"Oh no." He whispered to himself as he put me down.
Play dumb! Play dumb play dumb play dumb!
"What's wrong?" I questioned more to myself than him.
He broke out of the trance he seemed to be in.
"M-my horse, s-she's gone." He looked like he was about to cry.
"Hey," I soothed and rubbed his back. There was sparks as I touched him but they went unrecognized because of the scene that was in play before our eyes. "Its alright. I'm sure she didn't want to leave." I tell him.
"H-how d-do you kn-know?" His voice cracked.
Oh sh*t.
"Ummm... well... ummm... ah... I don't?"
He nodded. "People will be wondering where we -well I- am." I nodded. "You're coming with me. And that's not a question."
At least we don't have some ugly a$$-faced mate.
'Wow Kat. That's mighty nice of you to say!'
I try my best.
"Fine!" I answer.
He wraps his palm around my wrist and drags me with him.
