"Mr. Jones," I say as I see the tall man poised upon a red velvet armchair. "I'm sorry for disturbing you."

"Nonsense Ms. Adams. I was actually hoping to get a moment to speak with you."

He doesn't approve.

'Approve what?'

Us! He doesn't approve of us! He doesn't want his son's mate to be anything other that a werewolf!

"Oh, what did you wish to speak with me about, sir?"

He smiles slightly. "First of all, stop addressing me formally, you're my daughter-inlaw. Frank, will be suffice." He clears his throat. "Do feel free to take a seat, Ms. Adams." He motions towards a two-seater sofa made from the same shade of velvet of the arm chair he sits upon.

I make my way to the couch and sit down. Once I have done so I speak. "Alisa, will be suffice." I mimic him.

This -some how- makes him smile.

"I like you Alisa, you're just what my son needs, he needs someone to stop him with all his pigheadedness." He sighs. "However,"

Oh, here we go.

"Alisa, dear, I know who you are. Meaning I also know what you are."

Sh*t! Sh*t sh*t sh*t sh*t sh*t!

"W-w-w-what d-d-do y-you mean si-Frank?"

He smiles once again. "Darling, it means I know you're a horse shifter. Had I not told you that I would find out what was different about you?"

He hasn't told Alisa. He'd told Kat.

It was right after my first encounter with Nari.

"You probably think I'm strange for talking to a horse but I know you're different."

"I'm not sure what's different yet, but I will soon."

"Sir, I'm not sure I'm catching on." I lied.

"Alisa, you should have been my niece. That's how I know you."

Awwww! I wanted to be the one who told you!

"What?!"

"The mate I was given by the Moon Goddess was Katrina Adams, and if I'm not mistaken, she's your aunt? Making you David's daughter."

"Sir, how do you know this?"

He laughs. "Alisa, dear, I know everything that happens on my pack lands. You should know this, your father being the lead stallion of his herd and all."

"My father doesn't stalk people."

"Alisa, I wasn't stalking. Your father was a very good friend of mine until his sister rejected me."

"You recognized me by name and only name?" He nods.

"I didn't mean to pressure you dear, I just wanted you to know that I know. And also so I could tell you that you'll have to fess up sooner or later."
