where did I go wrong I lost a friend somewhere along in the bitterness...
I got home and sat down on my bed. I had put on a pink long sleeved shirt and black leggings. I sat down and hugged my knees.
I was thinking about everything. I remembered in 7th grade when Cody had said he wouldn't date me unless I wasn't friends with Ricky, how Ricky looked at me and said "all I want is your happiness. I don't care who it's with, just know, I'll still be here in the end" or how he'd always say "history over mystery" I laughed at that.
I remembered how New Year's Eve we'd always spend together, with kalani. How we were not just friends, we were family.
His momma always said friends are he family you get to chose, I'm glad he chose me for four years. It hit me that no matter what happened now, that those memories would never be topped. I still loved him, he was there for everything. For real. I think you know it's for real when you can say we've been threw it all together, and know you mean it.
After Bailee and Paige face timed me for hours again, it was 8. My parents were out at a movie and my sisters were getting food. I went into my living room and watched a movie, and someone knocked at my door. I figured it was Bailee or Paige so I answered it. I was wrong.
"Chloe give me a chance, let me explain" Ricky said before I slammed the door. "Guess what really happened" he said. "You left me and loved my ex best friend tho whole time" I said and he kinda chuckled. "No, chlo. What happened was; we were played by brooke. Believe me, it sucks loosing friends I know, but your not just a friend to me, so it'll hurt worse to lose you. Let me explain please" Ricky said. I looked at him and stepped outside. We sat on the swing on the patio.
"What do you mean, we were played?" I said confused. "Brooke, wrote to me, and said she was you..." Ricky started "then she said it was her, but I didn't know that the whole time it was her. I asked for your address, number something, she blew it off each time. I requested your Instagram and you never accepted. I tried my best to reach you Chloe. She told me that you had a new boyfriend and you didn't need me... That hurt. Is it true tho?" Ricky asked and I completely froze...
