never loose your faith
I remember the time. It was 3:27. Ricky shaking me scared me. The rain was pouring down outside and Bailee woke up as well. The light in room 164 was on and I could hear cries inside. My heart beated super fast.
I stood up and grabbed Bailee's hand and Ricky's as well. Brooke's mom came out in tears. "Go ahead in kiddos. I'm so sorry" She said crying. Bailee poked open the door and we all walked inside.
Bailee turned into my arms nervously. "She... She didn't make it" Brooke's dad muttered. "Oh my god" I said and all three of us started crying. "Brookie..." I said crying. "Is she really gone?" Poor Bailee asked. "I'm afraid so" Brooke's dad answered. "She's on and off breathing. I don't think she's coming back" the nurse said.
"However, you guys must go outside if the parents decide to pull the plug." The nurse said. "What?!" Bailee and I yelled in sync. "Girls, girls, I don't wanna pull the plug. I promise I won't" Brooke's dad promised. "Just... Just go out there please" Brooke's dad let his guard down.
We all walked out. It was now 3:54. "Ahh!" I heard a scream from inside. "Bailee Chloe Ricky" I heard Brooke's mom yell. We all sprinted back in. "She's breathing!" Brooke's mom said. You should've seen Bailee's face and how tight she hugged Ricky and I. "Brooke honey. We need you to talk" the nurse said.
I had tears in my eyes when she said, "Chloe, Bailee, Ricky? Mommy? Daddy? Am I alive?" She said sitting up. Bailee screamed and jumped up and down. The nurse gave Ricky and I a look. "B" I said and grabbed her hand. My eyes were filled with tears.
"Yes honey your alive. Do you remember your name and age?" The doctor asked. "Yes, I'm brookelynn Elizabeth, I'm 15, I attend Franklin high school and my best friends are Bailee Paige Chloe and Ricky. I'm dating Liam, and I have a sister. My brother died. I remember" Brooke said and we all had bright smiles.
"Well, it looks as if the cancer went away again. You need to stay tonight tho" the doctor said. Paige was coming back in the morning, with at this pint wasn't that far away, he mom wouldn't let her sleep over with Cody and Ricky here.
       It was 5:30, since it's winter the sun doesn't come up until seven thirty. I had black leggings on and my pink t-shirt I had put my messy curls in a pony tail and had a grey cardigan on. I walked out on the patio of the hospitals third floor and sat down by myself. The wind was blowing in my face, and the city lights we dark.
       It's kinda funny how you can be looking at this big city, and just know that people's lives have been worse than yours. I didn't understand that, I was lucky. I had a lot, and I've lost a lot, but life goes on and there's more to come my way. I've got the best of friends to help me threw it though.
      I wiped my teary eye and hears the door open. I didn't turn around.
