Callum drives me home and I walk in slowly. My dad is sitting on the couch with his head in his hands. I run in and wrap my arms around him tightly, tears running down my face.
"Dad, why where you in hospital?! Are you okay?" I whine, wiping my tears.
"Well...not exactly." He replies, holding my hands. I freeze, my eyes widen.
"W-what's wrong...?" I stutter.
"The nurse, she erm...she found a tumor. I need to go back for chemotherapy. They said I should be okay..." My eyes fill with water, flooding down my face, drowning my freckles. They said he should be okay. But what if he isn't? They can't be sure. Thoughts racing around my head.
"I love you so much, Dad!" I cry, hugging him. I don't know how to feel. I just hope he gets better, he is a fighter. There's one person I need right now. My best friend. I need Alice. But I'm not forgiving her, not yet. We just need to get in touch again, maybe stalk talking for a bit. Or maybe in school she will notice that there's something wrong. When we were friends she always would, she was amazing...
Ok short chapter coz I'm so tired but tysm for 100reads ilyasm !! This means so much to me, and I thought it wouldn't really go far...I'm so grateful.
