After about 3 minutes, the first act was done. Music was playing and lots of people were buying raffle tickets, homemade foods and other stuff. It's all going so well!
"OMG babe, look how amazing this is! You should be proud." Shouted Alice over the music. I smiled.
"Yeah. I am."
"Drink?" Alice had a glass of champagne in her hands. I took it...
"Thanks Al." We drink together. This was the first time I'd tasted champagne; it wasn't very nice but I suppose I could get used to the taste.
A few hours later...
I'd certainly got used to the taste. It's wonderful! This is, what, my 5th glass? Booze really must make you feel better, I'm not even nervous for the speech thingy. Suddenly, I went hot and sweaty...oh god. Rapidly pushing past the crowd, I ran to the toilets. I flip my head over and there, I've thrown up... Why did I have so much alcohol?!
"And here's the girl herself, Scarlet!" I hear a host shout. Oh crap, I probably look a mess...it's time for my speech? I need to get on stage. Casually, I stroll on ruffling my hair a bit to make it less obvious I'm practically drunk.
"I- I...um. Hi, my names Scarlet. Oh wait, you already know that. Uh, this is m-my speech." I stutter, my speech all over the place. I notice Alice and Callum looking at me from the corner with worried eyes.
"Is she drunk?" Groaned Callum.
"I only gave her a champagne..." Alice whispered.
I sniffle, I'm starting to get sweaty again. Please no, not more sick. I cough:
"So, I did this fundraiser to uh- raise money for charity...and my dad. I love him so much, he means everything to me. I'm just hoping that today we have-"
Vomit.
Why.
Callum and Alice rush on and drag me off, pushing me into the toilets and following behind. The crowd are all whispering to each other...oh god I've made such a mess of tonight!
Okay so I haven't updated in a v v long time but I'm gonna try and finish...so I hope u like it?
