It was dinner time and I saw Alice walking alone. She hadn't been hanging around with Ellie and all them today, I wonder why.
I sat on my own on my phone because Callum was playing football. Normally he sits by me though. I put my headphones in and listen to The 1975 while eating crisps seen as I hate the school dinners. Alice approached me and I took my headphones out.
"You okay?" I mumble, not looking at her.
"Yeah...are you? What's happened?" She sits down next to me. I lock my phone and sigh.
"Well my dad was in hospital. They said he uh-he has a tumor."
"Oh my god Scarlett, I'm so, so sorry..." We hug, it's been a while. It seems so weird but I don't care. I'm glad it's happening.
"It's okay. Thank you."
"Look, I'm so sorry. About the party. I shouldn't of kissed Callum, and I wanna be friends again."
I hug Alice again with a smile on my face. I'm so happy she's my friend. Alice explained to me that Ellie and her gang of girls where talking about her and spreading rumors that she's a slag, she kisses peoples boyfriends and she's slept with most boys in the school. Which isn't true, Ellie probably has though.
We walk to lesson together and sit down. It's almost the end of the day and I'm so tired. I just want to go home and see my dad.
