"Are you sure you want to do this?" Wally asked while he went through his contact list

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Wally asked while he went through his contact list. Dick was going through his options, since he had to leave for an important mission with the Justice League he didn't know how long he would be gone.

Or if he would come back.

"I'd rather have her hate me while I'm gone, then have her love and miss me if I don't come back." Wally shook his head at this. The red head at the moment was single (this was before meeting Jinx).

"You promise to watch over the city and them while I'm gone?" Dick checked his watch. His father would come to pick him up in a few hours. "Don't tell them either I left for a mission, otherwise they'd go out looking for me."

"Mhm yeah, what are you looking for in particular? I got a ginger, blonde, oo a brunette."

Dick thought about this for a moment, he knew he loved gingers and red heads seeing as how both his best friends were gingers and well Starfire.

"I'll go with the blonde." Wally clicked the contact name and pressed it to his ear. "Hey Veronica, you think you could come to Titan's Tower? There's someone over here that wants to talk." The boy-wonder could hear the girl talking loudly through the phone.

Wally replied with an 'uhuh' and hung up before looking at Dick, "She's coming in thirty, I hope you know what you're doing."

Starfire walked inside the Tower holding some shopping bags

Starfire walked inside the Tower holding some shopping bags. Following her was Raven who simply carried a small bag from Hot Topic. The princess looked around for her current boyfriend who was no where in sight.

"Friend Raven, have you seen boyfriend Robin? I cannot locate him." She turned to look at Raven who stared at her friend with wide eyes and pointed at his quarters. Starfire walked to his room slowly leaving the empath in the room.

Raven sat on the chair just staring at the wall. Since she could feel emotions, she felt a strong vibe of betrayal, reminiscing, and protection. She had a feeling she knew why.

Starfire skipped along the halls and touched the wall, smiling happily

Starfire skipped along the halls and touched the wall, smiling happily. She and Robin had started dating for a year now and she couldn't be any happier. She hid their anniversary present behind her back thinking of his reaction when he opened it.

Starfire stopped dead in her tracks when she heard something from Robin's room. She forgot what it was called, but she walked over to his door and knocked. The sounds continued and instead of waiting for someone to answer she turned the door knob and pushed the door open.

Inside was a blonde girl who was straddling Robin, the girl turned to look at a wide-eyed Starfire. Veronica quickly stepped off of Richard and excused herself from the room, leaving Robin laying on his back not looking at Starfire.

The alien sank to the ground holding her eyes and quietly sobbing. "How could you Robin? I lo-" She couldn't say it to him, not right now, not ever maybe.

No one could see it but Robin was on the verge of tears too, but instead of going to her and bringing her close to him he sat up, yawned and stretched his arms. Still not looking at the crying girl he smiled, "I mean, I do pick up after my father. You were fun for a little bit, but I got bored."

He regretted his words, Starfire began crying louder now. Robin had to clench his teeth to stop his jaw from wobbling.

Slowly, Starfire walked over to him not taking her hand from her eyes. She dropped the box in front of him. "Today was supposed to be our one year anniversary, but I guess you had other plans."

She then started to exit slowly, Robin wanted to run to her and to hold her close, telling her everything. Before he could do any of that, his phone buzzed.

"Hello?" Robin spoke into the phone. A gruff voice replied back, "Be ready in thirty minutes, we'll meet you at the landing port in the water."

Robin replied with a 'yes sir' before ending the transmission. He looked around his room, former room. The landing port was in the middle of the ocean, where no villains could locate in case they had any ideas of taking over the Titans' ships and such.

He thought of the look of betrayal and hurt on her face. Even though he tried to avoid looking at her face he couldn't stop himself from taking one last glance at her face.

"I know why you did that. Even though it wasn't for a good reason, it was what she needed." Robin didn't show it but he was shocked that Raven knew what was going on. Instead of answering her question, he simply looked out towards the water.

"You think you're not coming back, right? Because there's no other logical reason to fake cheating on her." She still stood there with a deadpan expression, but really she was feeling sympathy and anger for her leader.

"Wh-"

"Before you try to lie, don't forget the fact that I'm an empath and that means I can feel what you're feeling right now." Raven crossed her arms inside her cloak and leaned against the door frame.

"Like I told Wally, I'd rather have her hate me while I'm gone than have her waiting for someone she loves who won't come back." He wanted to cry. But somehow, he couldn't let tears fall or even gather in his eyes.

"If you do come back, be prepared for the consequences that follow your actions, Robin." She said the line with no emotion, but Robin couldn't help but wonder what were the chances he would come back.

The doors closed and Robin was left in his own thoughts. The light reflecting off the waves showed a black jet settling into the water. Taking his belongings in his hands he put his hand on the glass of the view.

The computer recognized his hand and transported him in a tube to the landing port where the jet was still floating. Batman was in the drivers seat waiting for his first sidekick to appear. Stepping into the jet, Robin quickly took his seat next to the dark knight.

"Did you say your final farewells?" Batman asked while flipping switches and pushing buttons.

While they soared above the waters, Robin took the wrapped present and stared at it for a minute. Then finding his composure, he teared the paper from the box to reveal two picture frames. One was of all the Titans smiling together, and the last one of him and Starfire. He was giving her a piggy-back ride and was hugging onto his neck while smiling happily. He put the two frames in front of his part of the windshield before putting his hands on his wheel also.

"Let's finish this mission so I can get back to my family."
