The Christmas season came out of nowhere to him and Jinx in all honesty. Jinx had some sense of her childhood, being Christian, but ultimately forgot her family traditions after being taken. Wally, being Irish, was Catholic. He wasn't strict or keen on keeping all traditions, but he did make it a point to continue his favorite traditions.
Wally made it a little game for himself, the game was to slowly change the apartment that he and Jinx shared. By changing, he would decorate it one decoration at a time.
The first decoration he did was a candle in front of the one window. She didn't seem to notice it, but he lit it at night and for all the December nights. m
He slowly built on from there, garlands, and even Christmas lights in their bedroom. Jinx hadn't said much about it, but when he hung up holly by the door, that tipped her off.
"Is that mistletoe, I see Wallace?"
Wally laughed her off as he finished placing it.
"That, is actually holly."
Jinx looked puzzled as he shut the door and turned to face her. "Holly?"
Wally smiled. "Yes, holly. I'm Irish."
Jinx nodded and took a good look at their apartment, only now realizing that it was fully christmas-ed out. There was a whole tree with decorations that she hadn't even noticed! With presents wrapped under it too! Getting a job at the newspaper had really drained her. Completely changing her lifestyle from doing whatever she wanted, whenever, had shown its true colors when Jinx tried to switch her lifestyle.
She eyed the brightly and nicely wrapped gifts that were addressed to some of his relatives and other Titans.
There was a small gold box, a nice red bow, with a tag saying her name.
"Christmas means this much to you?"
Wally smiled brightly.
"I'm Catholic, so I guess you could say it's pretty important."

Jinx didn't do Christmas gifts. Or gifts in general.
Gift cards were a go to for her, or even money.
This, however was her first Christmas on the good side, and with a significant other. Finding out Christmas was very important, even crucial to Wally had proven quite a disruption to Jinx.
She found out on the week of Christmas Day, and here she was at the mall, people shoving and crowding together.
This was the exact reason why the HIVE Five had never gone out during the holiday season. There was a guarantee that soccer moms or cranky aunts were not going down without a fight, even against super powered, meta-humans.
If she was going to be honest to herself, she had no idea what she was doing there. She didn't even know what he even wanted!
She passed by one store, but stopped. It was a long shot, but it was the only thing she had up her sleeve. Jinx sighed and paid for the red thing and tried her best to make her way out as quickly as she could.
Christmas Morning
Jinx sat up startled by a loud sound. She turned to her left and saw that the bed sheet was carelessly thrown to the side.
The two of them had gone to the annual Titans Christmas Eve Party, exchanging gifts and eating a feast (not prepared by Starfire).
There was another sound and she now registered it as a whoop of glee that came from Wally.
Don and Dawn Allen zipped in front of her, still in red flannel pajamas.
"Good morning Jinx!"
Jinx rubbed the sleep from her eyes and smiled softly.
There was a soft breeze and in front of her was a small wrapped box. Her heart softened, "You guys didn't have to get me anything."
She took the small box in her hands and they stood there. Looking up at her expectedly.
Ripping it slightly, she found a box and opened it. Nestled inside was an emerald four leaf clover brooch.
Iris appeared in the doorway smiling as her children dashed away to play with their older cousin.
"That was a brooch passed down in the West family. I want you to have it."
Jinx at first refused to have something that valuable, but Iris wouldn't give in.
The Allens had only wanted to drop in for a little until their Christmas dinner later and because the twins couldn't wait to open their gifts from their favorite cousin in the world.
After dinner, Barry and Wally had taken on the responsibility of cleaning up the kitchen while the women and kids put on a Christmas movie.
Long after the kids had fallen asleep, and they bid their goodbyes did the young couple find themselves alone.
They had the Christmas movie on while her head was nestled into the crook of his neck and his arms wrapped around her.
Wally smiled down at her and pulled out the gold gift wrapped box, placing it on her lap. Jinx saw it and stared at it for seemingly, forever.
"Is this. . . is this for me?"
Wally chuckled and kissed her temple, willing her to open it.
Once again, shakily tearing it open. The red velvet rectangular box caught her attention. Wally knew she wasn't really a jewelry type of gal so why?
A small gasp escaped her lips as she saw what was inside.
A delicate golden lightning bolt charm was attached to a dainty chain.
"Baby," Jinx began turning to look at him.
Wally smiled and took the necklace from the box, Jinx moving her hair away so he could put it on.
"I know you told me that this choker is something you carry from your past, maybe this necklace is something that you can carry into your future."
Jinx looked down onto her chest to see it hang there.
"And was it also a plus that I'm basically wearing your name around my neck?" She smirked up at him.
Wally blushed in the slightest, his hand scratching the back of his head.
Jinx found a spot on his lap kissing his nose and cheeks.
"I love it and you, with all my heart."
"Merry Christmas, baby."
"Merry Christmas, Wally."
She looked into his clear blue eyes before lifting his jaw up and pressing her lips onto his.
"Time for your present."
Wally thought pink was his favorite color on Jinx, but that later that night, it changed to red.
