Nico

I sigh loudly as I glance at the clock for the fiftieth time. "Gods, the miracle of birth sure is slow," I mumble. From the seat next to me, Annabeth shoots me a glare. "Piper is in extreme pain right now, and besides, it's not like it's just a small push and then voilà."

"So Nico," Percy quietly said, trying to clear the awkwardness in the air. "How did you guys get to the hospital?"

"Oh yeah, about that..."

5 hours earlier

"It's okay, Pipes, just breathe."

"Don't tell me to just breathe! I'm breathing!" Piper yelled back.

I pinch the bridge of my nose with my free hand. The other one was wrapped around Piper's back as Jason and I tried to carry her to his car. "Shit, I forgot that I'm out of gas."

Even though she attempted to make it inaudible, I could still hear Piper cursing in Ancient Greek under her breath.

"Πλάκα μου κάνεις , Τζέισον ;" She yelled and glared. Jason, being Roman, silently blinked. "Uhh what?"

I sigh loudly. "She said, 'Are you kidding me, Jason?'

"Qu'allons-nous faire maintenant? En cas d'oubli , mon eau vient de se casser !"

Apparently Piper was speaking different languages now because that was definitely not Ancient Greek. Jason looked over at me for help. I shrugged.

She growled with frustration. "It's French, you uncultured swines! I said, 'What do we do now? In case you forgot, my water broke!'"

Jason hesitated. "I could fly you-"

"No!"

"But-"

"Did I stutter?! Tell me, Jason, am I speaking French when I say no?!"

"... No, ma'am."

"That's what I thought!"

As much as I was enjoying it, I needed to break in and cut it short. "Guys, we still need to find an efficient way to the hospital." That's when it happened. It fell dark over us. I frowned and looked up at the sky, only to find a bronze dragon with two people riding it. "Did somebody ask for a Leo-Mcshizzle-Man-Bad-Boy-Supreme?" The dragon flew down to the ground and Leo, the one and only, stepped off.

He grinned. "Miss me?" Jason and I were too stunned to say anything, but Piper, who was the one having contractions, ran up to him and punched him in the arm repeatedly. "You jerk! I thought you were dead! I thought you were gone!"

I suddenly realized she wasn't angry. She was crying. Despite the fact that she had Annabeth, Leo was her only other best friend. He was her first and stuck by her side, even after finding out who her father was. I couldn't imagine the emotions she went through, thinking she had lost him. Oh wait, yes I can.

I closed my eyes as I remembered Bianca leaving me for the Hunters. I remembered having feelings for Percy. Feelings that would never get returned. I remembered thinking Will would die in that coma. I knew what she was going through.

She collapsed on his shoulder and sobbed into it quietly as they hugged. "Hey, Beauty Queen, I missed you too," he said softly.

It was when Piper clutched her stomach and groaned that we remembered the current situation we were in. "Leo, we need a ride to the hospital. It's an emergency."

He grinned. "You got it. Hop on." When we went to get on Festus, I realized there was a girl quietly sitting there already. "Uhh Leo."

"Oh yeah. Guys this is Calypso."
