I'm still in the little room. I want to run away, but after what happened last time, I don't think I want to try to escape. I just there skimming through the bible. I know I am in a lot of pain, but I don't blame God for it, things could be a lot worse. I could be dead.
The door just burst open. Matthew came running in, my eyes turned black and I got dragged. It all happened so fast. My heart is pounding so fast. I feel like I got put in the car again. "Where are we going?" I asked Matthew.
"Shut up. I ask the questions."
"Come on Matthew, the least you can tell me is where we are going." He breathily laughs at what I just said. I feel really embarrassed right now.
"You really think I'm Matthew don't you?"
"What do you mean. You are Matthew." Right?
"You are so nieve. You've really beloved I'm Matthew this whole time. Your so stupid."
"If your not Matthew then who are you?"
"Why should I tell you? Your just a stupid little girl."
"WHO ARE YOU?" I shout.
"I'm not Matthew that's for sure." He makes this grunt sound with his throat. It's should a familiar. I know someone who did that a lot.
"You're not Matthew are you? Your Evie's dad!"
"Took you long enough." That's why I got the not about Evie being dangerous! Why Matthew warned me. This makes so much sense now. But why? Why did he do this. Maybe I should ask him and not the nobody I'm talking to.
"Why though. Do you have a-a-a-"
"Motive?" He interrupts.
"Yeah." A bit of silence.
"Your mother. She's beautiful, smart, funny,. And Matthew took her away from me. I grew up with your mother. I'm the one who comforted her when she was sad. Matthew just came out of nowhere and took her from me. After I got rid of your dad-"
"You killed my dad?"
He sighs heavily. "Yes. I did it do I could move in on your mom. You should've been my daughter."
"What about Charollette? Your wife?"
"We divorced right after Evie was born." But Evie just said she works a lot, that's why I never see her. The only time I do see her is when she's here... to...pick...up...Evie.
"How'd you do it? Kill dad?"
It was my motorcycle. I was in the car with him, he was sober. I told him he could use my bike, I knew he always wanted to ride it. I made sure, before he got on, there would be a flat tire. I put gasoline on the road to make it slippery. So when he took off the flat tire plus the gas made it impossible to steer right. I knew he would crash. I put a lit cigarette in the tire. So when he crashed, BOOM."
"Wow. I was right about calling you a dick. Just wish I would've said John and not Matthew. But where are we going then?"
"New York."
