Johnny came home with us after many hours with fans. A group of girls I met there helped me set up a twitter, which, to this day, is still slightly confusing to use. I followed many new people on my public Instagram they had set up, and 'followed' a load of people on twitter. We had called Johnny's dad to see if he was serious, and his exact words were "I don't want that scum near my house." I swear to you, I could've gone round to his house to rip his vocal chords out if Luke wasn't there to stop me. How can you hate and disown your own son, because he is happy?
"Hey, guys, dinner's done!" I shouted up the stairs, and to no surprise, Skye was first to appear.
"Mummy catch me!" she shouted in excitement from the top of the spiral staircase. My heart raced and before I could tell her not to, Luke came and picked her up, running down the stairs with him. "Daddy, I was going to jump to mummy!" she pouted.
"Why would you want to jump from that high? You don't have super powers, Skye." Luke laughed.
"I don't need super powers! Spiderman done it. Why can't I?" she mumbled
"Well, Spiderman, is very skilled in that stuff. Maybe when you're as old as Spiderman, you'll get super powers, where you can have gooey webs shoot out of your wrists." her eyes lit up as Luke said that, then gave me a look of that said 'she is crazy.'
"Who showed you Spiderman, baby?" I said as I put her dinner plate on the table in front of her.
"Mikey." she beamed, it was obvious. Of course Michael would be the one to teach her about something, or somone, like Spiderman.
The rest of the boys came down as Luke and Skye were discussing super powers. Calum and Johnny pushing eachother around, laughing.
"Guys, no messing at the dinner table," I chuckled. "We don't need Skye copying you."
"Yes, mum." Calum laughed and Skye's head snapped up.
"Your mummy too?" she asked Calum, scrunching her nose up. Laughter erupted in the kitchen as Skye sat there, still puzzled.
"No baby, Calum was being an idiot." Luke laughed.
"Idiot," Skye giggled. "idiot Uncle Calum." I sighed, Luke should have known how quickly Skye picked up words, seeing as she likes to copy everyone's words.
"No, baby, don't repeat anything daddy says." Luke said and looked over to me and mouthed a small sorry. Everybody continued to eat dinner, with small talk being made between all of us.
Everytime I would look around me, I would have to re-evaluate everything in my life. Did I really deserve a good life like this? I know that I haven't been able to remember anything from when I was growing up, but surely, I didn't deserve to have something as good as this. I could never express how grateful I am, for the life I was given, and continue living as I write this.
"Mummy?" Skye whined which brought me back to earth, "Can we go to bed now?" I nodded my head and stood up, as I collected everyones plates, they all thanked me.
"Say goodnight to everyone then I'll take you up to bed,"
"and daddy," I looked over at Luke who smiled.
"Daddy's coming too, Princess." Luke said and a tired smile spread across her face. All the boys hugged Skye goodnight, and handed her over to Luke, where she fell straight to sleep.
"We best go tuck her in, it's been a long day." Skye had spent the day with Lux who was being babysat by Harry. Bless him, he must ve had a long day, looking after two girls who only talk to eachother by addressing one another as 'Princess.' Whether Harry was a Prince or Princess, is questionable.
"Night night, baby." I whispered and kissed her forehead. As Luke laid her on to her bed, she clung to his shirt.
"Daddy, stay?" she whispered and he climbed in next to her.
"Go down babe, I wont be long." He said to me.
I left Skye and Luke cuddled up as Skye muttered nonsense and Luke just hummed in reply, agreeing with whatever she blabbered on about.
"Where's Hemmings?" Michael said.
"Skye wanted him to stay with her." I laughed, but sighed at the same time.
"Oh, she is definetly a Daddy's Girl." Ashton laughed, again I laughed but had a lot on my mind.
"Guys," I said as we all sat in the front room. "you're all my bestfriends, and I want you to tell me the truth." they all nodded as I debated whether or not to say anything. "Do you think Luke only said it's okay to be Skye's dad in the heat of the moment? Because I want him to be happy and if he isn't comfortable with hearing Skye call him 'daddy' or 'dad' then I can sort something because it's not fair if he's uncomfortable." I brought my legs to my chest and Michael sat down next to me.
"You're thinking about it too much, Little One. Honestly, we'd be able to see if Luke was uncomfortable with it, but he isn't. Every time she says 'dad' or whatever, his eyes lighten up and his smile becomes that little bit wider. Even though it's not a biological connection, they've had that special bond since the day you met him as well, there's no denying that. Just please stop worrying about it." he kissed my forehead and rested his chin on my head.
"I just want him to be happy. I love him." I said as I sighed.
"Amelia, I am so happy with you. I love you so much, I can't find any words in the English language that will express that to you." I heard from behind me. I looked around to see Luke stood there with scruffy hair and wrapped up warm.
The boys left us in the front room on our own and Luke joined me on the sofa. Just looking at his tired blue eyes made me cry. "Hey, where's all this come from?" he whispered, wrapping me up in his blanket as we hugged.
"Please, promise me you're happy." I whispered.
"I promise you that in this moment, and for the past 6 months of being with you, I have been so happy. You've brought out a new side to me, that I love! You and Skye have become additions to my family, and I cannot express how proud that makes me- mum can't wait to meet you! I just don't have any idea, where this is coming from." his arms loosend from around me as he turned me round and looked me in the eyes. "Are you unhappy, Mimi? Is that what this is all about? Are you unhappy with us being together?" the crack in his voice broke my heart. I cried and so did he.
"Luke I am so happy with you. Please don't ever think that. You and I are strong together and I love you! I honestly have no idea why there's this message in my brain, telling me that you're not happy and why I constantly feel unwell- I know I should've told you about it sooner, but it's been getting worse these past few months I didn't want to worry you! I hate it Luke, I hate it so much. it's hurting me." He pulled me in to a hug as his tears soaked my hair and my arms wrappd around his stomach.
"I didn't know what was going on, and I still don't really, but maybe, we could go see somene about this." he whispered.
"Like a doctor?" I asked, to which he 'hmmed' to. "Do you think it's worth it? Like 'Hey, Doc, I keep feeling ill all the time, and I'm always having inside thoughts of people being unhappy. Can you help?" he chuckled lightly and kissed my hair.
"Well, that could be the rough outline of what we tell them." he laughed. I snuggled into his body. "But we have to tell them, Amelia, like you said, it's hurting you." I nodded my head against his chest and closed my eyes, within a short space of time, both Luke and I were asleep, carefree and peaceful.
A'N- I like this chapter. :)
