You know the days after Christmas, between the day after boxing day and New Years Eve, where nobody knows what to do with themselves? Well, that was the time I used to persuade Luke to meet Jason. Of course, he wasn't happy with it, but he did want to know what Jason had to say. Plus, there was no way I could just let him into Skye's life without Luke's opinion on it- it would all confuse her.

"Luke, please, I need you there." I sighed as he paced our room.

"Mimi, he left you when you was fourteen years old and he got you pregnant! Nobody should do that, no matter who they are. If you get someone pregnant, you should step up and be the father. If you've got the maturity to be doing that sort of stuff, you should have the guts to face the consequences. Immature little-"

"Luke!" I shouted. "I understand, okay? I understand how much you hate the fact he is her father and how much you hate him because he left me while I was pregnant. I know you're not keen on meeting him and I know how much you want to knock some sense into his head, but, please. I need you right now. I don't want you to go against anyone because of what happened in the past. I want you to help me create a better future for our family. It's just you, me and Skye at the minute. Please, please, just come."

Luke sighed, whether it was in frustration or defeat- I will never know, but he finally decided he would come with me to meet Jason. It was only a few days away, and I was extremely nervous. There was only two ways that it could have gone- he could've walked out of Skye's life forever, or he could have stayed and tried to make things work.

The following days we had nothing planned. Luke took skye out shopping while I had Ria over, and the boys had a few tour meetings. I knew Luke was also nervous about meeting up with Jason, but it had to be done. Not for us, but for Skye.

----

The day had arrived and I hadn't slept a wink. We was planned to meet Jason at around two that afternoon, so we had most of the morning to chill out.  Luke and I took Skye and Lux to the park where I told Lou everything and Luke just discussed whatever there was to discuss with Niall and Harry, but as soon as it was time for us to head home, I was thinking about the situation that was approaching.

We had to meet Jason in a café away from London and the hour long car journey was full of small talk from Luke and myself. I didn't want to say the wrong thing, and I don't think Luke did either. We were just preparing ourselves for an unexpected situation.

"Luke, he's over there." I whispered as we walked to the little café. Luke grabbed my hand and kissed my temple as we walked over to him. "Jason," I said and he looked up. God he had changed. He still had the dark brown hair and dark eyes I had remembered, but he had bulked up an awful lot. He also looked extremely rough.

"Oh, Millie and Co." he said and looked us up and down. I cringed at his pet name- 'Millie'. After four years, he thought it could go back to the way it was- hell no. I felt Luke's hand tighten and I knew he didn't like this guy already.

"Luke, I will go and get some drinks-"

"You stay here, I will get them." he said and left. I nodded and looked down to Jason who was smirking.

"What on earth has happened to you, Jason?" I whispered, shocked and disappointed.

"Money, girls, mistakes. The usual, Millie." he went silent and looked me in the eyes. "I want you back." he said, placing a hand over mine.

"Get off," I said and pulled my hand back. "this is about Skye, not us."

"Oh come on Millie, you didn't think I really wanted to talk about Mya or what's her face, did you?" I looked him in the eyes, gobsmacked. "Oh my, you thought I wanted to be part of her life. Didn't you?" he started laughing and I backed away. "Oh millie, no, no, no, I miss you. I want you back, baby. Me and you against the world. Like the good old days. She doesn't need you as much as I do." he sniggered. The good old days where I would spend every Friday nght partying and getting drunk and doing stuff I shouldn't have been doing.
