3 Months Later

Adam's POV

I woke up and looked at Lena sleeping next to me. A baby bump was just starting to form on her torso and she couldn't have looked more beautiful. I kissed her forehead and rolled out of bed. I tossed on a white v-neck and a pair of grey sweats.

I walked into Kennedy's room and saw her playing with Barbies on her floor with Adalyn. "Hi cuties," I said as I sat across from them. "Hi daddy!" They said. "How long have you two been up?" I asked. They just shrugged their shoulders and went back to their barbies.

"Mommy has a doctor's appointment today, so could you clean up your barbies then go brush your teeth and get dressed for me please?" I said. "Ok daddy," They said before they cleaned up their barbies and ran to their bathroom.

I walked back into my room and saw Lena sitting up. "Hey gorgeous," I said as I walked over to her and kissed her. "Good morning handsome," She said. "Are you ready for your ultrasound?" I asked her. "Yes! I'm so excited to find out if we're having a boy or a girl," She said. "I can't wait," I said.

Lena kissed me and got up to get ready. I changed into a pair of jeans and a Harley Davidson hoodie. Lena pulled on a white t-shirt and a pair of skinny jeans with flip flops. I put on a pair of white Nikes and gelled up my hair.

I walked back into the bedroom and saw Adalyn and Kennedy in matching purple Lakers t-shirts and jean shorts. They both had their hair in little pigtails and they looked adorable. "You two look cute," I said as I picked them up.

They both kissed my cheeks and I chuckled. I kissed their heads and I saw Lena walk out of the bathroom. "Aw, look at you cuties. Has daddy influenced my precious girls?" She asked as she took Kennedy out of my arms and held her.

We walked downstairs and buckled the girls in their car seats before we took off. Once we arrived at the doctor's office, the girls climbed out of the car and ran inside. Lena and I followed behind them and Lena checked in.

We sat in the waiting room for about 5 minutes until a nurse escorted us to a room. "Hi Lena," Dr. Marshall said. "Hi," Lena said. "You know the drill," She said. Lena laid down on the table and pulled up her shirt.

Dr. Marshall sht the lights off and I sat on a chair before pulling the girls onto my lap. A picture appeared on the screen. "Alright here's your baby," Dr. Marshall said. Lena looked at me and smiled. "They're beautiful," Lena said.

"Would you like to find out the gender?" Dr. Marshall asked. "Yes please," Lena said. "You're having a baby boy," She said. "Oh my gosh!" Lena said. She looked at me with a smile from ear to ear. I was overjoyed. We were going to have a little boy.

"Girls look. It's your little brother," I said as I pointed at the screen. "We're gonna have a brother?" Adalyn asked. "Yes. You two are going to be big sisters," I said. Kennedy hopped off my lap and ran to Lena's side.

"Is my brother in there mommy?" She asked as she pointed at Lena's stomach. Adalyn must've been intrigued because she quickly ran to Lena too. "Yes girls. Your baby brother is growing in mommy's tummy," Lena said.

Dr. Marshall wiped the gel off of Lena's stomach. The girls put their hands on Lena's stomach. I smiled at their excitement. It was adorable to see them so excited about their baby brother.

"Mommy!" Kennedy exclaimed. "What is it sweetie?" Lena asked. "I felt something!" She shouted. "That's your brother. He's kicking," Lena said. "Mommy, when is our brother gonna be here?" Adalyn asked. "In about 6 months. So around Christmas," Lena said.

I thought about what the next 6 months could bring. What an amazing gift it would be for the girls if their brother was born on Christmas.
