Lena's POV
I heard my laptop ringing, so I walked over to the coffee table to see who it was.
Adam.
"Girls! It's your dad!" I shouted as I sat down and clicked the accept button. I heard Adalyn and Kennedy's little feet running down the stairs before I saw them plop down on either side of me on the couch.
Adam appeared on the screen sitting next to... No. It couldn't be.
Jennifer Lawrence?!
"Hey babe!" Adam said. "H-h-hi," I said. "Daddy!" The girls shouted. "Hi girls!" Adam said as he waved at them. "Adam is that Jennifer L-l-lawrence?!" I asked. "Yeah it is," Adam said.
"Hi Lena! It's a pleasure to meet you!" Jennifer said. Pleasure? To meet me? "The pleasure's all mine! I'm a huge fan!" I said. "Adam told me. You are such a lucky woman! He's an amazing guy," She said.
"Yeah he's pretty perfect," I said. "How's the little guy?" Adam asked. "You're pregnant?!" Jennifer exclaimed. "Uh yeah. 5 months. He's great. I went to the doctor yesterday and they said he's perfectly healthy," I said.
"That's good. I hope I'm there for when he's born. I hope we're done with the movie by then," Adam said. "I hope so too. I would be really upset if you missed him being born," I said. "I would hate myself. I won't miss his birth Lena. I promise." He said.
"Congrats on your baby boy!" Jennifer said. "Thanks," I said. "Listen babe, we gotta go film some scenes. I just wanted to call while I had the free time. Love you!" He said. "Bye daddy!" The girls exclaimed.
"Bye girls! Love you Lena," He said. "Love you too," I said. "Bye," Him and Jennifer said as they waved. "Bye," I said before I shut my laptop.
The girls ran upstairs to play with their Barbies and I just sat on the couch. Tears started falling down my cheeks.
What if he did miss the birth?
Adam's POV
I shut my laptop and looked at Jen. She no longer had a smile on her face. "Jen, what's wrong?" I asked. "What's wrong?! You're cheating on your PREGNANT wife! She's pregnant with your 3rd child!" She exclaimed.
"Why does it matter if she's pregnant!" I exclaimed. "It's not right!" She screamed. "None of this is right!" I shouted back at her. "Adam. How can you cheat knowing she's carrying your child?" She said. "I'm sorry my wife and my unborn son don't really cross my mind while I'm having sex!" I shouted.
"Adam, what if you miss the birth? She's gonna be crushed," She said. "I'm not going to. We're done filming 2 weeks before her due date," I said.
"Everything is fine Jen. I promise. Can we please go back to the way we were?" I said. "Fine," She said. I leaned over to her and hugged her. "Everything is fine." I said before I kissed her. "I love you Adam," She said. "I love you too," I said.
The sad part is, I think I really mean it.
