Adam's POV

I ran to the dresser and grabbed the keys to my Aston Martin. I grabbed a pad of paper and scribbled a quick note to Lena.

I think I know where Baylee is. I'm going to try to get her to come back. I'll be home soon, hopefully Baylee will be with me. Love Adam

I put the note on Lena's nightstand and kissed her head before walking out of the room and shutting the door. I walked downstairs and checked on the girls. They were busy playing with their barbies, they wouldn't notice if I left for a little while.

I walked out into the garage and climbed into my Aston Martin. Hopefully I would be able to find Baylee.  I don't know how Lena would react if I couldn't find her. It's like losing another daughter. And I don't think either of us can handle that.

I pulled up to the orphanage and parked my car. I got out of it and walked up the steps. I never thought I would be coming back here.

I opened the door and walked inside. Everytime I walked in here, a wave of depression came over me. All the kids that didn't have families, left here. All I wanted to do was take all of them home and show them the family love that they deserved, but I couldn't; and that broke my heart.

I walked up to the front desk and saw the head of the place, Miss Johnson.

"Mr. Levine? What are you doing here?" She asked. "Is Baylee here?" I asked her. "Yes... why?" She asked. "She ran away! We've been worried sick about her. We dropped her off at school this morning and when Lena went to go pick her up, the school had no idea where she was," I said.

"Baylee came here and told me that you and your wife didn't want her anymore," She said. "What? No. We love Baylee. We are so glad that she is our daughter," I said. What Miss Johnson had just said, broke my heart. How could Baylee think that we didn't want her or that we didn't love her?

"Well she's in her old room if you want to go talk to her," She said. "Thank you," I said before I headed down the dark hallway towards Baylee's old room. I stood in the doorway of her room and saw her sitting on her bed, looking at her phone. She had tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Baylee?" I said. Her head shot up and she instantly wiped her tears away. "W-w-what are y-you doing here?" She asked. "The better question is, why are you here?" I asked her as I walked into her room and sat next to her on the bed.

"You and your wife don't want me. I'm not your daughter. I can't live up to what your daughter was. I'm not her," She said. "Baylee why in the world would you think that? Lena and I love you so much. We don't expect you to be Sarah. You are your own person, and we love that about you. We wouldn't have adopted you if we didn't want you. We love you Baylee; Kennedy and Adalyn love their new big sister. And I'm sure when Aiden gets older, he'll love you too," I said.

"But no one thinks I deserve to be your daughter. Everyone hates me," She said as tears started falling down her face again. "What on Earth makes you think that you don't deserve to be our daughter?" I asked.

She handed me her phone and I saw she was on Twitter. At least 30 people had sent her awful tweets about being my daughter. How could people be this cruel to her?

"Baylee, don't listen to them. Lena and I love you more than you could ever know. Lena spent the past 3 hours sobbing because she thought you weren't going to come back. She was heartbroken and so was I. The girls asked about you too. They miss you. We all missed you. Please come back home Baylee. We love you," I said.

I wrapped my arms around her and hugged her. "Please come home Baylee," I said. "Ok," She said. "Don't listen to those people. You don't have to live up to be Sarah. We love you for you," I said. "Thank you," She said. "Alright, let's go home," I said before I took her hand and we walked out of the orpanage.

I got my daughter back, and hopefully I wouldn't ever lose her again.
