" Little one. Little one. Eragon wake up!!!" I slowly open my eyes and look to my right. Saphira had just landed beside the border and was waking me just as she said she would.
"How long was out for," I ask groggy.
"Almost 12 hours," Saphira said cheerfully.
"Wow! I didn't think that I would sleep for that long."
"Well you did and now we're at the border. Would you like to walk over it or fly?"
"I would definitely like to walk over it," I said excitedly. I leaped off Saphira's back onto the ground and started walking in the direction of the border. When I crossed the border I got this weird feeling like something wasn't right."Hey Saphira do you feel that?" I asked a little bit worried.
"Yes little one, I do. Something is definitely not right with Alageasia."
"We must get to Du Welden as fast a possible. I need to speak to Arya," I said worriedly.
"Eragon don't worry. She will be fine. She is a rider after all," Saphira assuringly said even though I could easily see that she was also very worried.
"Well, we had better get going. ... don't want to keep your little dragon friend waiting."
She lets out a steaming huff "And you your elf maiden."
"Well maybe she will be." I started running and took a big leap and still found I had to climb to get up to the saddle. "You're definitely getting big. I don't think that going unnoticed is possible with you. But I am not going to run there."
She leaped up into the air and started flapping her giant wings." Ya, I must be the biggest and best dragon around."
"Well that dragon mate of yours is no slouch either," She huffed.

"Evander wake up!" I sit up on my bed wondering why anybody would be at my door. I finally come to the conclusion that most likely somebody has something for me to do. "Come in." I hear the door open and close and the elf walk into my kitchen. I finally decided to stand and hear him out. So I stepped into the kitchen."You probably already figured out why I am here. I have a job for you if you're interested."
I took one look at the elf and instantly knew that he was sent from the queen. He had long dark brown hair, a very pale skin colour, light green coloured clothes, and a large straight two- handed sword in a white wooden sheath.
"Whats the job?"
" Escort the queen. Queen Arya and 10 construction workers are going to where Eragon Shade Slayer is going to create his hall."
"Whats the pay?"
"You will be rewarded with the normal payment of your choice."
"Fine... When do I leave and will I need a horse?"
" Bring your weapons and everything else you see fit. We will be supplying the food and transportation. We leave in the morning.... Oh and be nice."
" I will be there. I am running low on drink anyway."
He opened the door and started walking. I closed the door behind him and set off to pack. I packed my flask, bed roll, extra arrows, eating utensils, and a few changes of clothes. It took me a long time to find where I put my weapons. When I did I laid them out for the morning and fell into the embrace of my waking dreams. I awoke to an awful buzzing noise. It didn't take me long to figure out that it was the time-activated magic I set last night to tell me when I needed to get up. I sat up, shutdown the alarm, put on my clothes and blue light chain mail armor with quiver already set into the back. I slung my bow across my shoulders, put on my sword belt with both of my swords, placed all of my throwing knives in their place on the belt, and set my dagger in the hiding place in my boot. Now I was ready for anything any enemy could throw at me whatever that enemy.
