Eragon the sequel

The jorney begins

As soon as I left the open flap of my tent I began to run towards the river. Reaching the river only took a few minutes. From there I followed the river for two days, not stoping until I came to a massive evergreen forest. I turned and entered the forest. I hiked for another few hours until I had no choice but to to stop. I found a small clearing to set up camp in for now. First I put my backpack on the ground and opened it. The small dragon wandered out, stretching its tiny little wings and wandering about the clearing. Paying the small wandering dragon no mind, I left for only a few minutes to gather wood for a fire. When I arrived back the dragon had climbed a tree and was sitting on a branch near the bottom. I placed the wood in the centre of the camp and lit it on fire using magic. With a fire going all I needed now was some food. I took a small bit of provisions I had brought and gave the small dragon some of the meat and I ate the rest. I poured some water directly down the dragon's throat and I drank just enough so I didn't get dehydrated. I decided that it would be best if I hunted in the morning because I was already running out of provisions.  I woke at about six or seven in the morning and instantly noticed how cold it was.   A massive white wolf with bright blue eyes was only a few meters away from me on the other side of the clearing. It was one of the most beautiful sights I had ever seen. It stopped and laid down and at the same time  I felt a presence that was attempting to ask entrance to my mind.  I lowered my barrier just enough to hear what the massive animal in front me wanted to say.

"You are the one who defeated the shadows with wide scale ice magic are you not?" A voice sounding like a normal elven girl said.

"Yes I am what do you want?" I asked in my normal voice.

  A bright light appeared from the wolf as it changed into a beautiful Elven girl with white hair and tattered green clothing.

"I am Luceane, the huntsman. I have been wandering woods after woods for many years but I have never seen magic like that and now you are a rider. I must ask for your assistance for these shadows are going to destroy the land and I haven't ever seen a forest this beautiful.  Will you help me kill them?" the elf said all this,  and not even a word of hesitation came from her mouth.

"That depends on how long I have to prepare because as the dragon is now, it is of no use in a battle,"I said in my normal monotone voice.

"We  have up to a year and a half before they become too strong to challenge  all of us," she said rather excitedly.

"Wait! So you said all of us it is just us two, right?" I asked questioningly.

She smiled and said, "Just give me a few minutes and I can show you all of us."

She snapped her fingers and two people came sprinting out of the trees behind her. One was a human girl looking about 19 years old.  She had blond hair, yellow clothes, blue eyes,and was a bit shorter than the average human. The other was a human male.  He had black hair,looked also to be about 19, was tall,  and had Broad shoulders.  He was wearing purple steel plate armour.

"This is Atticus and Reaine.  We are dragon riders just the same as you."

I stood for a second deciding whether or not to trust them.

"Ok then,  why do you need me?  My dragon must be younger than all of yours," I asked calmly in my normal voice.

"My dragon is the oldest and he is only a month old. All of us had  dragon's eggs appear before us in a flash of white," Luceane said calmly.

"How did you find each other in under a month then?" I asked curiously.

"Atticus and Reaine were travelling together.  They were caught by Shadows while traveling in the woods.  I found them and fought with them we barely made it out with our lives," she said, recalling a unpleasant memory.
