Chapter Five

~Jaime P.O.V~

I smiled when I looked at bart who smiled back.

"You okay caŕino? " I said while touching his forehead head.

Bart smiled at me and nodded his head.

"Ya I'm crash. Just a little light headed. Are you okay? " bart ask making me chuckle.

"I'm fine caŕino. I just got worried for you. You were screaming in pain and I couldn't help you. " I look away in shame that i couldn't protect bart.

Bart smile sadly and pulled me in a hug making me gasp.

"Bart? "

"No it wasn't your fault. It was that dumb gorilla and you save me remember with my grandpa help. You did help me jaime. " bart said smiling at me making me smile back.

"Thanks caŕino. " I said hugging him back.

~next day~

~Bart P.O.V~

I woke up with jaime next to me sleeping peacefully. I smile and look at jaime I blush while getting a good look at him. Then I heard the door opening making me jump and pretend to sleep.

"Bart get up. I know your faking it. Also get you friend up too. " my grandpa said making me chuckle.

I stretch my arms while looking at jaime sleep. I smiled and shook jaime lightly.

"Jaime, her-man-o wakey, wakey. " I said chuckling when he groan.

"Cinco minutos más madre. " jaime said in spanish making me giggle.

"Sorry but I don't understand spanish jaime. " I said watching him rub his eyes and smile at me.

"Hey bart. What time is it. " Jaime yawn while looking around.

I watch as jaime eyebows went up and nodded his head. The scarab must have told him. I got off the bed a little wobbly at first but I stood up perfectly.

I went to get my hero custom and change into it. When I was done I turned around and saw jaime stretching his muscle. I blush and turn around fast. Stupid hormones...I really need to talk to grandma Iris. I sigh and went out the room to see the elder talking to my grandpa.

"Oh child your okay. That good to see. Come come I just brought you children breakfast. " the elder wave her hands making me smile.

I went to sit down next to my grandpa and look up to see jaime in his blue beetle armor and walking to the chair next to me.

"Thank you elder for the breakfast. " my grandpa said smiling at the elder.

She smiled and nodded her head. She look at me and jaime seeing me steal some of his food smiling sweetly at him. Jaime just rolled his eyes and took a drink of my juice making me whine.

"Jaime! " I whined while he chuckle and smirk at me.

"Oh I presume that blue beetle and impulse are mates. " the elder ask my grandpa making him spit his drink.

I choke on my breakfast while jaime cough on the juice. My grandpa look atvthe elder with wide eyes.

"Noonoo elder they aren't mat-..I mean lov-.. *cough* together. " my grandpa said while swallowing.

"Oh my hohoo I'm sorry dears. " the elder chuckle.

Me and jaime where blushing deep red while looking away from each other. Grandpa Barry cough while standing up.

"Okay I'm going to patrol around the village. Blue Beetle and Impulse stay here and keep the elder company. " grandpa barry said getting up and hugging me and saying be careful.

I sigh and look at the elder who smiled at me and jaime.

"Well then care to tell me what you two are to each other. " the elder smiled sweetly.

I smiled nervously and look away while rubbing my hair. What is wrong with this lady. Is she a freaking witch ot something. I heard jaime clear his throat and look at the elder.

"Well me and him are just best friend elder. Were not compañerox or lovers. " jaime said with a blush.

I wish we were more than friends though. The elder look at me and I forced a fake smile. The elder look at me closely and smiled sadly.

"Oh I see. " the elder stood up and grab her stick. "Why don't you two join me on a walk to stretch you legs. "

Me and jaime look at each other and jaime nodded his head.

"We'll love that. " jaime said while getting up.

I got up too and accidentally bumping into jaime. I blush and chuckle.

"S-sorry. " I smiled looking at jaime.

Jaime smiled and push some of my hair out of my goggle view. I blush even more and look down.

"It's okay caŕino. " jaime smiled and put his hand on my shoulder squeezing it.

I nodded my head and look at the elder who smile at me and wink. I blush and pulled away chuckling.

"Okay let's get going. I want to see the village crash places! " I said to jaime and the elder who both smiled and nodded.

I swear to god that elder knows that I have a crush on jaime. I have to be careful around her.
