Joshua's Point of View
When I arrived at Evelyn's house I got out of my car and grabbed the big box wrapped in pink and walked up to the front door. when I knocked the door flung open.
There Evelyn stood in a pretty blue dress, looking up at me. "Joshie your here!" She shouts with glee she grabbed my shirt and dragged me into the house. When she let my shirt go I set the present that I had for her on the table with all the other presents.
I then turned to Evelyn and picked her up and hugged her. "Happy birthday sweetie-pie. I hope your having an awesome birthday today." I say as I hold her in my arms. I then set her down and she runs off with the rest of her friends.
Her mom then walks over to me. "Hey Joshua can you do me a favor?" She asked wiping ice-cream off her shirt. "Sure whatever you need." I said.
"Would you be able to watch Evelyn for me tomorrow, your parents need me, and my husband to help them with some things downtown." she said getting irritated with the stained ice-cream she was still trying to clean off her shirt.
"Yes ma'am I can watch her for you." I replied. "Thank you so much Joshua." she said walking away. I sat on the couch and watched Evelyn play.
Eventually she can back inside and walked over to the gift table. I stood up and walked over there too and I pick up the gift from me to her, and handed it to Evelyn.
"Thank you Joshie." She said tearing it open. When she realized what it was she gasped and started jumping up and down. "I've always wanted a Xbox One, thank you so much your the best."
"Your welcome sweetie." I said ruffling her hair. She then jumped in my arms "Joshie." She says starring into my eyes. "Yes Evelyn?" I said. "You are by far the best friend I have ever had. "Oh thank you Evelyn." I replied.
I set her down and she grabbed my hand and said, "Come on let's play some birthday games!" We played pin the tail on the donkey, hide and go seek, and a couple of new board games she got for her birthday.
All of a sudden my phone rang and answered it, it was my mom and she wanted me home. "Hey sweet heart listen I got to go but I will be back tomorrow to baby sit you ok." I said hugging her.
"Noooo do you have to leave now!" She starting to whine. "I have to, I'm sorry sweetie but I'll be here tomorrow." I said
"Ok , pinkie promise." She said holding her pinkie out. "Pinkie promise." I said kissing her on her forehead. She then kissed me back on my cheek.
