Joshua's Point of View

Five Months Later:

I look my trainer in the eyes and he nods I do the spin kick he taught me and I hit him directly in the jaw. He is thrown back onto the ground. He stumbles getting back up and when he fully standing he gives me a sly smile.

He goes in for a gut punch but I catch his fist and bend it down causing him to get on his knees, and then sweeps my foot and I fall on my butt. I get up quickly before he can get to me a I hit him in the side of his neck with the side of my hand, causing him to be knocked out.

When he gets up after about twenty minutes he says "Nice work Joshua your getting better and better everyday, I think you will be ready. "Thanks Shawn, for all of your help this is really going to come in handy for when someone tries to hurt Evelyn."

"Yeah it sure will, hey by the way do you and Evelyn want grab something to eat?" He says rubbing his jaw. "Sure that sounds good."  We walk out of the training room and Evelyn stands up and put a strand of hair behind her hair.

"Hey Joshie how did you do?" she asks staring me in the eyes. "He did very well, in fact he might even be better than me." Shawn said holding the door open while walk out. Evelyn does a small smile and nods.

When we got to subway I sat down next to Evelyn. "Eww you stink Joshie." She says scrunching up her nose. "Yeah I stink cause I have been training sugar." I say chuckling. "Well when we get home your heading straight to the shower." She replied. "Yes ma'am." I say saluting her. "ha ha very funny." she says sarcastically as she playfully hit my shoulder.

After lunch I shook Shawn's hand and went home. When we got home, I walk up to the front door to see a paper tapped to it. I take it off and read it.

*We told you to give up the girl now you will watch her die in front of your own eyes and then we are going to kill you.*

I groaned and just crumpled up the paper, not letting Evelyn see it. I unlocked the door and grabbed Evelyn's wrist and pulled her in quickly. "Oh getting rough now are we." Evelyn said raising her eyebrows and smiling. "No not really I'm just trying to get you in quicker." I say yawning. "Uh huh, yeah right, well I'm going to bed now cause I'm tired." She replies yawning too.

"Goodnight Evelyn." I say heading upstairs to go take a shower. "Goodnight Joshie." she says jumping on the couch and tries to sleep. I laugh and shake my head as I reach the top of the stairs.
