I stood at Georges door hesitating, my fist held in the air attempting to knock on the wood that seperated us. But i couldnt bring myself to do it. My heart beat through my chest and i began to get a sick feeling in my stomach. A few times i considered opening the door quickly and barging into the room, but i knew that would be too forward. My mind was distracted when i saw some movement in the handle, followed by the door opening to reveal a sight i never thought i would see. George stood staring at me, a look of disgust on his face. He didnt have the usual fearless look on his face. His eyes were red and puffy from all of the crying and his hair was messed up and tangled. He was pale and unsteady as he stood, holding the door frame for support, i i could tell he felt terrible from the alcohol.

We stood staring at each other for what seemed like an hour when he finally spoke. They werent the words i was hoping for.

"Go away, I don't want to see you again." He attempted to shut the door and re-enter the room, but I followed him in. Last time I had stood in here everything had been fine, I was happy. Now, we were here. Not even sure if we were in a relationship after what had happened. George took a seat on the bed, deliberately facing the other way so he couldnt see me.

"George please," I neared him as I spoke. "I can explain."

He turned around sharply and shouted, making me jump. "Explain what Jess? What is there to explain? I watched you kiss him! Don't try and doubt it!" He screamed at the topof his voice. His aggresion frightened me and I took a few steps back, so I wasnt close to him. I knew what George was capable of if he lost his control.

"Do you really think I wanted to kiss Taylor?!" I found myself shouting, Sam was taking Taylor home so nobody could hear us. "Don't you think for one minute that I tried to pull away?" I questioned him, fighting back the tears that were threatening to spill..

"How can I trust you?!" He roared, pointing a threatening finger at me. "How can I trust the girl who I have just spotted kissing my cousin? I thought you were different, I told my deepest darkest secrest to you and you go and do this. Your not different, your just like all the other girls. Useless and pathetic. He spat the words at me.

Them words hurt, they kicked my stomach and almost killed the butterfllies that were once there. I let the tears fall, I didnt care what he thought anymore. I didnt care about being strong. All I could hear was the words George had just said. They were like a broken cd, playing over and over again, no matter how hard I tried I couldnt get them away. I gave George one last look, before the pain of standing next to him became unbearable and I ran into my previous room ,slamming the door behind me. As I went to take my original position from before I heard the familiarr sound of footsteps, following me through the house. I looked to the door and was met by the pair of eyes that I had loved so much. They now resembled pure evil. He stood in the doorway looking worried. I didnt even speak, I just sat drowning in my tears. George walked over to me and began to speak.

"Jess please don't cry." Jess please don't cry, his voice was shaky from his tears but he was now calmer than before.

"Every girl cries, im just a useless pathetic girl." I struggled through tears.

George sighed, "im confused Jess, I get it that you kissed Taylor, but don't cry I hate to see you cry." He stood looking down at me. "Dry your eyes and we can talk about this like proper adults." He suggested.

"George I don't want to talk about it!" I croaked. "I don't want to listen to you telling me I kissed Taylor, I don't want to hear it because it kills me. It kills me knowing you don't trust me."

"Jess," he began "I don't know how to trust you, watching you kiss someone else broke my heart."

My tears stopped and were replaced by anger as I heard George tell me he didnt trust me again.

"I didnt kiss him! He kissed me! He is stronger than me and I felt threatened by his height!" I shouted. "Do you know what George?" I calmed myself and looked up at him. He stared down at me, sorrow in his eyes, as he waited for me to speak.

"I couldnt kiss another boy. I couldnt bring myself to do it because I love you. In fact I don't love you, I adore you. Everything I find out about you makes me love you a little bit more. I couldnt be without you George Shelley." I poured my heart out to him, I forgot about what had happened and told him exactly what I felt.instead he sat down beside me and took me in his arms. I cuddled into his chest, taking a relieved sigh. We sat in silence for a moment, enjoying the peace at last. George broke the silence as he began to speak.

"I trust you Jess. I put all my trust in you and I promise I will never leave. Promise me you wont believe any of what I said before because none of that is true." He stopped and kissed my forehead, before speaking again. "Your not like one of those girls and your definately not useless or pathetic, your my everything Jess my whole world. Tonight made me realise how much I have fallen for you. Because I have a lot of things I should be afraid of, but my biggest fear is losing you. If I lose you Jess Parker, I lose myself."

I looked up to him and he smiled weakly through his tears, which made his deep brown eyes shine.

"George im sorry I ruined tonight, I promise I didnt want any of it to happen." I said as he rested his chin on my head, his arms tightly around my body.

"I know Jess, im sorry too, now hows about I get my beautiful girlffriend back?" He asked.

"Never thought you would ask." I answered.

And our hearts are stronger than we know.
