Sooyoung’s POV

“And I guess that’s really it.” I finally finished the story to Jae-dong and awaited for his response.

He just stood there shaking his head in silence before replying to me, “You are so dense.”

I gave him a confused look, “What?” I asked him. In that entire story that’s all he could tell me? What was I so dense about?

“Nothing, it just seems like you were all really close.” He answered back. He then looked at me seriously, “Listen, you do realize you wasted about 3 months already right?”

I face palmed myself. He was right. Weeks to me were months in the real world. If things didn’t go so well I was to blame since I wasted my time being more confused then actually doing something. In reality, I only had 9 months before my time was up.

I massaged my temples, “I know, don’t remind me. I will succeed though!”

He smiled then frowned putting on a more serious face, “I have to go check out things for the big boss,” Jae-dong said.

“And?” I asked him.

“And that means I won’t be here to protect you all the time so be careful.” He said sternly. He folded his arms together then continued tallking, “Like I said before, you have already died once and if you die again that’s the end of it.”

I nodded to him, “I know. I will be extra careful then.”

“Good luck. I do hope everything goes well.” With his last words, he started to fade away.

I sighed to myself then walked back into the school. Everything was as normal as it could be. Except for the whole Yuri situation. Tiffany and Taeyeon were fine which was good, Seohyun was kind-hearted as ever, and Hyoyeon seemed to be okay as well. Then there’s Jessica. I didn’t really know how to react when I was around her. She never was that great with new people, but here she was being really friendly towards me. At first, I thought it would be her who would be the toughest to convince, but it looks like I was wrong. When I had finally reached my destination I could smell the sweet scent of cakes, the alluring aroma of the noodles, and even see the delicious food all around me. I snapped out of my food trance when a single table caught my attention.

I started to walk towards the table waving to the group of girls, “Hey!” I yelled excitingly.

Hyoyeon was the first to greet me, “Take a seat Hanna,” she said as she ushered me to sit down.

Seohyun was happily eating that nasty sweet potato of hers while Jessica seemed to be in a daze. I noticed the blank stare she was giving and tried getting her attention, “Jessica? Jessica?”

“Wha-?” She suddenly said snapping of her daze.

“Are you okay?” I asked her. Usually things like this tend to happen. Jessica would always get into a state of almost emptiness. It was like the girl could dispose of everything in her head to just sit there to stare at nothing.

“Oh, yeah I was just sleepy,” she replied.

Hyoyeon started to laugh, “Don’t worry about her. She is always like that.”

“Yah, I am not!” Jessica responded as she gave a light punch to Hyoyeon.

“So, auditions start today?” I asked them. Sure it might have been a bit random of me to ask since I had just met them yesterday, but their problem was still my problem.

Jessica laid her head on the table and pouted. Hyoyeon just started to pat her back, “Yeah, which means we have to take some time after school to pick people. Which means no after school nap for this girl,” sighed Hyoyeon.
