Yoona’s POV
“Unnie where are you!” I yelled frantically into the phone.
”Calm down Yoona, I’ll be there in a few minutes.”
“Okay, okay, I will.” I pressed the end button before looking at the door in front of me. Aish, come on Yoona. My heart was thumping harder then ever, sure I was already part of the group, but that didn’t mean I was comfortable being around the girls. Hence, the phone call. I texted Hanna unnie earlier to escort me today, at first I was even nervous about that, yet for some reason I felt a lot more comfortable around her then the others.
I was about to put my hand on the doorknob when I heard someone shout my name, “Yoona!” She was waving her hand frantically at me while still shouting, “Sorry!” She leaned over trying to catch her breath.
“My bad Yoona,” The girl next to her began explaining, “I needed to talk to Hanna for a bit, so that’s why she is late.”
“Oh, it’s no problem Jessica Unnie.” I said as I bowed to her, “Um, should I-”
“Open the door?”
I scratched my head, “Yeah, haha.”
“Yoona,” Jessica placed her hand on my shoulder, “no need to be shy about this. The girls and I are happy you are a part of the group. So you should be just as thrilled.”
Hanna gave me a thumbs up from behind Jessica and pointed to the door. “Okay Unnie,” We walked into the room to reveal Hyoyeon and Seohyun playing rock, paper, scissors.
“Unnie, that’s five times in a row.”
“No way! I want another rematch!”
“Shouldn’t we be looking over these papers?”
“I don’t wanna!”
“Aish, what are you two doing?” Jessica asked.
Hyoyeon jumped a bit from her position, “Yah! Don’t scare us like that!” She was patting her chest while bracing herself with the table in front of her.
“Unnie, you were the only one scared.” Seohyun responded.
Hyoyeon stuck out her tongue then turned her attention to us, “Well, hey there new recruit!”
I waved then looked at Jessica who was mouthing to me, ”Don’t worry, she doesn’t bite.”
“Hello Hyoyeon unnie, um is there anything you need me to do?” I asked her.
She placed a finger on her chin, “Hmm, I don’t think so. Here, just come over and relax. We won’t bite. Well,” She pointed to Jessica, “ actually, she might.”
“Yah!”
I started to laugh at her teasing.
“Yoona unnie?”
I looked over to the source of the voice, “Um, aren’t you older then me unnie?”
“According to this, you are older then me by a year.” She responded.
I took note of the girl in front of me. She seemed, older, or should I say, more mature then your average person. I was reluctant at first to speak to her any further, but after she flashed a smile the tension died down, “Oh, sorry! Wow, you just seemed so much more older. Not that you look it or anything!” I panicked, “I mean, what I meant was-”
“It’s all right Yoona,” I felt a hand on my shoulder, it was Hyoyeon“she always gives off this whole mature aura to newcomers.”
“You are funny, Unnie,” The girl held out her hand, “I hope we can be great friends!”
