Cold?

"Jade! Wait!" I cried, running after her.

I saw her sitting on a bench. I sat down next to her. She was crying.

"I'm such a waste of space! I couldn't even sing! I always let people down!" She cried as I rubbed her back.

"Jade! You did not let me down! And you're not a waste of space! Other things may be more your area but still! You tried your best and I'm proud of you!" I said, hugging her.

She sniffed.

"Thanks. I'm really sorry if you don't get through because of me though."

"I don't care about getting through if you're not happy." I said.

Just then, a teacher walked up to us.

"What's the mater, Jade?" She asked.

Great. It's so annoying when teachers interfere!

"Nothing. Hayfiever." She sniffed, fake smiling.

"Ok." The teacher said. Wow, it actually worked!

"Shall we get back to class? I just heard he bell go." I said.

"Sure."

"Zoe! Alfie! I'm home!" I called, shutting the door.

"H-hey-" Zoe said before sneezing.

"You okay?" I asked, concerned. She looked awful.

"Yeah. Just got a bit of a cold." She replied, fake smiling.

"Sit down, I'll make you some hot chocolate and I'll get your blanket." I said. She wasn't right.

"Aww, thanks." Zoe said, walking into the lounge.

When I came back into the room, Zoe was sneezing again.

"Thanks." She said.

"You're welcome. So where's Alfie?" I said.

Zoe paused. "He said he's busy..."

"Oh... Don't worry. I will help you get rid of this cold." I said.

She smiled gratefully.

Zoe's POV:

Ugh. I feel awful. My head hurts as well as my throat. I also have a horrible cold. I have also been feeling dizzy. I don't want to worry Zara, though. I don't think Alfie cares that much anymore, too.

------Flashback-----

"I think I'm coming down with a cold, Alfie." I said, sneezing.

"Oh well. You should've knocked before you came in." He relied.

I felt hurt.

"Sorry. I also kind of think I need to lie down. I feel really dizzy." I said.

"Ok. But let me work in peace. I don't want you pestering me like usual. I'm busy, ok? You're fine!" He snapped. I jumped at his harsh tone of voice and left, falling over some books with dizziness.

"WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT?" Alfie yelled.

"S-sorry."

"You should be."

I got up, slowly and went downstairs.

"So, anyway, Zoe. I auditioned for s talent show am today and-" I couldn't hear properly anymore.

No, please don't let me black out!
