Truth?

There was a knock at the door.

"I'll get it!" I called, walking to the door and opening it.

"H-" I started before I saw who stood there. Alfie.

"Hi." He said bluntly, barging past me.

"Wait- hang on a second!" I said, angrily. How dare he bathe his way into here!

Just then, Louise entered. Wait. What?!

Dan rushed down the stairs.

"Hey! What are you doing here!?" He said, blocking their way.

"We need to talk." Alfie said.

"There's nothing to talk about." I said, huffily.

"Exactly. Leave." Dan spat.

Alfie pushed his way passed us and entered the living room where Zoe was sleeping.

"She's adorable." Alfie said, stroking her head.

"GET OFF HER!l" I almost screamed.

"Ok! Ok!" He retorted. Zoe then sat up. When she saw Alfie and Louise, she almost fainted.

"It's ok, Zoe!" I said, rushing to her. "They're gonna go."

"Maybe after we talk."  Alfie said. " in private.

Zoe shock her head. " pleas leave, Alfie. You broke us. You can't come back."  She whispered.

"Zoe. I'm really sorry! Please just-"

"THEN WHY DID YOU GO OUT WITH LOUISE?!" I shouted.

"Look, it's not like that!" He said, calmly.

"Then what is but like?" Dan asked.

He hesitated.

"Ok. I met Louise on the high street out of coincidence. We bumped into a viewer and they asked if they could take a picture us. They asked if we could hold hands and stand a little bit back. We agreed. Then the paparazzi came and we got out of there. It's not what it looks like. Please believe us!" Alfie begged.

We were stunned. Was Alfie being truthful?

"Yes. He's telling the truth. You must believe us! I would never do that to you, Zo. Never. Ever. Ever! I was the one who came to ask you to take Alfie back. He made a mistake and thoroughly regrets it. Everyone makes mistakes. Please guys." Louise said, tears in her eyes.

I paused. I think that if Louise was close to tears, she was telling the truth. It was she just saying that because she was desperate for us to eke u've her and panicked... They did look truthful thigh. I think I believe them. This all fits.

"O-oh." Is all I managed to say.

Zoe ran up and hugged them both.
"Of course I believe you guys!" She yelled, crying.

I guess this is life going back to 'normal.'
