Dodgeball

"Ok class! Just a few notices before you go to lessons; Ariana has left the school, so you know." Miss Daylin said, just as the bell rung.

I sighed along with Becky and Jade and walked to my first class - PE. Yes!

"Ok class! Today we are going to play dodgeball as your normal teacher is ill so we are not doing hockey today." the supply teacher said as we entered the Gym.

"Yesssss!" We heard people say. I didn't really care; I loved both.

We got changed and went down the steps.

"Ok! We are going to have two teams! Girls VS Boys! Ok? Let's go!" She said, directing us to which side we were.

"And remember! If the ball hits you on your hip or bellow, you're out and if someone catches a ball you throw, you're also out. You can get the player that was out for the longest current time back in by catching a ball."

She set three balls in the middle on the hall. We had to touch the wall until we were allowed to go.

"3... 2.... 1... GO!" She shouted.

"Instantly, I sprinted off the wall, aiming for the middle ball. Unfortunately, that's what several of the boys' plan was too.

I quickly grabbed one of the three balls! Yes!

"Zara! Throw it at Tom! He's one of the best players!" Jade said to me.

"I think I know who he is. The one with blonde hair standing in the right?" I asked.

Just then, a ball came soaring towards us, I dodged and Jade got hit by it, taking her out.

I guessed that Tom was that boy and threw my ball at him. He dodged. Ugh! I saw revenge in his face as her lunged for another ball. Miss had now thrown in 3 more balls so there were 6.

"Get her!" Tom shouted to his friend who had another ball.

They aimed. Quick thinkingly, I dodged his friends' ball and caught Toms'! Jade was back in!

"Yas babe!" Jade squealed, hugging me.

"Look out!" I shouted, making her duck from a ball.

"There's only five left on their team and four on ours! Us, Amelia and Jess! Let's do this!" I shouted.

The girls started chanting for us and the boys for them. I threw and ball and got one of them out. Jade caught another ball and got one of our team members back in. Two left to get! I ducked as Amelia and Jess got hit. Eventually, it was just Jade, me and the other boy.

"I'll try and hit him and u catch!" I said.

"Got it!" She replied.

He threw a ball, not hearing us and.... Jade caught it! Yes! We'd won!

"Times up! Girls win!" The teacher said.

All the girls came around us, happily.

"You were amazing, guys!" Becky said.

"Thanks!! It was more Jade though!" I replied.

-----At Home--------

"Good day?" Alfie asked.

"Yeah! We won in dodgeball against the boys!" I exclaimed, picking up my phone.

"Best that, suckers!" Zoe laughed.

I had one text notification:

Still avoiding me?
It's only a matter of time,
U know? 😂😡

With shaking hands, I showed Zoe my phone.

"Right! That's it! We are going to the police! That's like the forth time!" Zoe exclaimed, getting on her coat as I showed Alfie the message.

I got another notification:

You can't find me.

And another:

I can find you tho 👿😈😂

You don't know me.

I couldn't bare this. I put my phone face down and looked straight ahead.

"It's gonna be ok, Hun." Zoe said.
