Chapter Seven

           Attacked by the Evil Spirits

The next morning both Suki and Zack woke to the sound of screaming. Suki immediately got out of bed and started looking for somewhere to hide. Someone, who sounded familiar to Suki said “Where’s the Dragon we know she’s here we saw her last night tell us where she is?” Zack asked “What’s going on… what are you doing?” Suki panicked “Dragon Catchers have been on my tail for ages… I’m looking for somewhere to hide… If they don’t find me they’ll leave.” She quickly jumped in her cupboard. Zack sat back on his bed. Jut in time as the Evil Spirits burst into the room. One of them approached Zack and insisted “Where is the Dragon boy?” Zack said “What Dragon anyway aren’t Dragons just a myth.” Another man said “Dragons are real and we know there is one in this house… Private take this boy and let’s see if we can get this dragon to reveal herself.” Suki could hear Zack shouting “LET GO OF ME!” The man said “Come out Dragon!” Zack shouted “NO DON’T COME OUT!” The man said “Deal with him!” Another person came up to Zack and punched him hard in the stomach twice. Suki heard Zack’s cry of pain with each punch. Suki cried silently. She got herself together. She got out of the cupboard and bravely said “Let him go!” The man who was holding Zack threw him over into the corner of the room. Suki moved over to him never taking her eyes off her enemy. The man said “Dragon do you know who I am?” Suki hissed “A man who kills Dragons for no reason.” Zack coughed angrily “A fool.” The man ignored their comments and said “I am Ellik the leader of the Dragon catchers… Come with us and we will leave you’re friend here alive.” Suki said “I will never come with you!” Ellik said “Fire at them!” Suki dodged the sonic lasers, which were their weapons. But Zack, who was still lying on the floor, got hit by a laser. He cried out in pain and fell unconscious. Suki looked at Ellik angrily he said “Now will you come with me?” Suki shouted “NEVER.” Then her eyes started to glow the same spiritual blue colour as when Jasmine had died. Suki shouted “DRAGON UP!” She transformed into a Fire Dragon. Her sides glowed with the same spiritual blue colour as before. Suki roared. Ellik shouted “GET OUT RETREAT!” All of the Evil Spirits fled out of the room. Suki roared and gave chase. She drove them all out of the house, but Ellik stayed at the door. Suki roared and formed a fireball in her mouth. Ellik backed away saying “We shall meet again Dragon just you wait and see!” Suki released the fire ball, but Ellik dodged it. He then ran off with the rest of his troops. Lynn came running up behind Suki. Suki roared and flicked her tail in rage. Lynn tried to calm her, but Suki was in to much rage. She roared and unfolded her wings. Lynn quickly powered up herself. Lynn transformed into a fire dragon. Suki roared and beat her wings slightly sending some of the nearby papers flying. Lynn put her neck around Suki and pushed down. Suki obviously had more strength than her mother as she didn’t go down. Suki roared at her mum and flung her head at her. Lynn put her head down to block Suki’s horns with her own. Lynn then said some words in Dragon tongue to calm Suki down. It worked luckily. Suki powered down, Lynn did as well. Suki said “Where is everyone mum?” Lynn said “Everyone is in the kitchen well apart from us too and Zack where is he?” Suki gasped “Zack.” She ran straight upstairs and into her room.

When she returned she had Zack flung over her back. Lynn came to help get Zack onto a sofa. Lynn reassured “He’ll be fine Suki don’t worry.” Suki nodded tearfully.

After Lynn had gone back into the kitchen Suki moved Zack so she could sit under his head. She started to rub his head and sang a dragon lullaby quietly. After five minutes he started coming too. He looked around in a daze before seeing Suki looking down at him. He was about to say something but Suki laid a finger on his lips indicating for him to stay quiet. She whispered in his ear “Save you’re strength Zack.” Zack smiled and closed his eyes. Suki sang the lullaby again. She heard someone come in from the kitchen. She heard a voice say in shock “Oh Zack what happened?” Suki recognised the voice as Gracie’s. Suki hadn’t realized that both Max and Luke were with her. They all came and sat down in front of Suki just about squeezing onto the two seater sofa. Luke asked again for Gracie “What happened Suki?” Suki told them exactly what had happened in her room and what they had heard from the kitchen. Gracie exclaimed “Oh Zack!” Luke said “I hope he’ll be okay.” Suki sighed “So do I Luke so do I.”
