Chapter eight

             Suki saves the city

A week had passed since the gang had returned from Hong-Kong and Zack had recovered completely now. Zack missed all the attention. Suki and Zack still hadn’t told the rest of the gang that they were dating. Suki didn’t mind but she hated all the secrecy. Zack and Suki were walking to the lounge when they heard a very loud sneeze. Both Suki and Zack laughed as they walked in. Gracie asked “What are you two laughing at?” Zack asked “Was it you who sneezed?” Gracie admitted “Yes.” Zack laughed “There’s you’re answer.” Suki laughed “Be nice Zack.” Zack and Gracie laughed. Suki asked “Hey what you looking at on you’re laptop?” Gracie said “Adopting a digital Rabbit… You two got any ideas on what to name it?” Zack joked “How about Fluffball the Rabbit?” Gracie said “No Zack don’t be silly.” Suki laughed then asked “Is it Male or Female?” Gracie joked “Male of course… No it’s Female.” Suki laughed and Zack argued “Boys aren’t that bad.” Both Gracie and Suki laughed. Suki said “How about Jade or Flower ?” Gracie said “Jade sounds cool I’ll have that name for the cyber Rabbit.” Zack said “Sounds nice.” He winked at Suki who smiled back. Suki said “Alright then I’m going to go and get my laptop.” Zack asked “Can you bring you’re laptop to the lab I want to copy Echo’s infrastructure to the apartments systems so that we can actually tell when the city is in danger from attack… If that’s okay with you of course?” Suki said “Yeah sure come on then.”

Both Suki and Zack walked to Suki’s room so Suki could grab Echo. After that they headed up to the lab. Once inside the lab Zack set to work. Suki perched on top of one of the computer screens.

Five minutes later Zack finally said “Okay infrastructure copied and now all we need to do is come with a name any ideas?” Suki said “Sparks.” Zack nodded then said “Alright Sparks it is.” He typed in the name. A voice around the apartment said “Hello I’m Sparks I was designed by Dr.Dragonheart and made by Dr.Richards I have been made to help against the criminals the Fantasy Kids fight against… If anyone wishes to speak with me just say my name and talk.”

Suki laughed “I hate my last name.” Zack argued “Hey it’s not that bad.” Suki argued “It screams Dragon.” Zack admitted “Yeah abit but it’s still a nice.” Suki kissed him then said “You’re such a creep.” Zack laughed “How?” Suki said “You just want a kiss.” They kissed and without them noticing Max came up in the elevator. Max happened to see them kissing. He wolf whistled making Zack and Suki pull back from each other. Max laughed “What was that you two?” Zack and Suki blushed. Max said “Hey it’s okay the rest of us always thought you two would get together someday.” Suki blushed and gave out an embarrassed laugh. Zack hugged her. Max said “I won’t tell anyone unless you want me too?” Zack said “No Max we’ll tell the others when we’re ready.” Max put his thumb up.

There was a loud beeping sound all around the apartment. Sparks said “There is a monster attacking the Brooklyn Bridge.” Zack said “Well it’s time to save the city… Suki can I ride on you’re back on the way there?” Suki laughed “You’d better hold on tight then.”

They went up to the hanger, Max got into the Fantasycar along with Luke and Gracie. Suki shouted “DRAGON UP!” She transformed into a blue and white Sky Dragon with feathered wings. She lowered herself so that Zack could climb on. The Fantasycar took to the skies. Suki waited a minute before flying to the top of the building. She looked out across the city then dived of the side of the building. Zack gave out a little scream of fear. Suki spread her wings and flew straight. Zack clung to Suki’s neck like a baby chimp clings to its mother.

Suki flew fast and caught up to the others in the Fantasycar. As they got closer they could see a gigantic lizard type monster. It was a dirty brown colour. They could see it’s bright red eyes with it’s glowing white pupil fixed on them. Zack shouted above the sound of the wind “LOOKS LIKE WE CAN’T SNEAK UP ON IT NOW!” Suki growled “Hold on Zack.” Suki’s eyes glowed white and a tornado came down on top of the monster putting it off balance. It fell backwards into the ocean. Zack shouted above the sound of the wind “WAS THAT YOU SUKI?” Suki growled “Yes now cover you’re eyes I need to change form.” Zack covered his eyes as Suki’s body changed into her orange and red fire Dragon form. The monster stood back up with amazing speed and lashed one of it’s arms at Suki. Suki didn’t see it in time and was grabbed in the monsters claws. It’s grip was tight around both Suki and Zack. Suki stayed in Dragon form. Zack cried in agony as did Suki. Gracie soon reacted using her psychic powers to move the monsters claws enough for Zack to squeeze his way out. Suki then was able to squeeze her way out soon after. Zack jumped back onto Suki’s back. Suki gained some height to fire an array of fire balls at the monster. Max shot ice shards at it. Luke jumped into the ocean and transformed into a great white shark. Suki landed and let Zack climb off before taking to the air. Suki then transformed into a sky blue and snow white water Dragon. Her water Dragon form had fin like spikes running along her entire back. It had no wings so Suki plunged into the ocean to swim alongside Luke. Suki wrapped her long scaly body around the monster and tightened her grip on it. It bellowed in rage and tried to bite Suki but wasn’t able to get a decent bite. Suki then swam away at speed making the monster spin in the water putting it off balance enough for Gracie to use her power to pick it out of the water and drop it back into it. Suki then sprung out of the water and body slammed onto the monster. Luke bit at it ankles in desperation to be helpful. Max shot ice shards at the monster. Zack stood there feeling rather useless. The monster with lightning speed picked Luke out of the water and launched him at Max. Luke had enough time to transform into an eagle. But he still wasn’t able to stop himself from ploughing into Max. The boys rolled on the floor. The monster took its opportunity to seriously hurt them and was about to stand on them. When Suki jumped out off the water and sank her dagger like fangs into its other leg making it swing round. It lashed out with its claws and caught Suki’s eye leaving a deep cut. Suki roared in agony and fell back into the water. She floated there and the monster turned on her again. It jumped and plunged onto Suki making her go under water. Suki’s eyes were shut tight. Zack not knowing if Suki was conscious or not shouted “SUKI WAKE UP!” Suki must have heard him as she immediately swam down and trusted her way out of the water. She wrapped her coils around the monster and swam down. Max froze the river around where Suki had dived. Zack looked at him and nodded.

The next thing that happened was that the ice sheet was broken and pieces of ice were sent flying everywhere. Gracie stopped many from going into the city. Suki’s head poked out of the hole made in the sheet. Then she wriggled her way out onto the ice and transformed into an orange and red fire dragon with a blinding light. She flew over to the rest of the gang. Zack congratulated “Well done Suki good work but what happened to the monster?” Suki growled “At the bottom of the ocean where it will stay forever more.”

Suddenly a voice asked “Suki Dragonheart can we ask you some questions?” Suki jumped and span round to see a whole ocean of paparazzi coming at her. Suki bemusedly asked “What would genre of the questions be about?” One reporter bluntly stated “You’re father.” Suki stood straight, or as straight as she could in her dragon form, and growled in anger “I refuse to talk about my father!” Another reporter asked “Why would that be?” Suki unfolded her wings and growled “See you back at home.” Zack understandingly said “Sure Suki we won’t say anything.” Suki smiled and nodded. Before running towards the bank and leaping into the air impressively.

She flew in an aggressive manner trying to get away from a news helicopter.  Back at the Sky Bright building she circled the roof waiting for the doors to open before landing inside the hanger. The hanger doors closed behind. Suki blew a puff of smoke in anger. A voice sneered “I’ve never seen you so angry baby what’s wrong?” Suki roared “WHO’S THERE SHOW YOURELF IMPOSTER!” A masculine figure moved forward out of the shadows. Suki backed off in shock and growled “No anyone but you.”
